I've seen a few "World in a bottle" type maps on here, and since I think it's such a cool idea, I decided to make my own take on it as a break between some of the larger, more complex maps that I've been making.
There are no specific "challenges" with this one. It's totally free play (and I would love to see what you create in the void!) but feel free to limit yourself with rules like "don't break the glass," etc. if you want to.
There is only one thing to beware of. If you die, the map will spawn you a handful of blocks outside of the bottle, so, like a skyblock challenge, if you die, you fall forever (unless you've built a platform out to catch your fall.) I could tell you the coordinates of the spawn, but that wouldn't be any fun, so I'm keeping it a secret for now.
So what makes this particular "world in a bottle" map unique?
Features:
A sort of multi-biome on the surface that has all of the main elements of all the biomes.
Veins of every ore in the game
Mineshaft (with Cave Spiders)
Dungeon (With Zombies, Spiders and Skeletons)
A Lava level
Fun secrets
. . .And more!

Don't know if I've seen this design before, but I have seen those ant farm survivals and I was never a fan, but this one looks cool. You may want to repackage the file, it's a folder in a folder and many folks may have a hard time of it.

Strange. I put the file together the way I did because I figured everyone would just open the zip, then drag and drop the file like I do.
LOL! Thats so awesome oDo It would be cool if you made some other glass things floating in space, like fishbowls etc and filled them with land stuff. :3
Multiple glass containers is cool, but it's already been done. Check out "World In A Jar" World in a bottle is similar, but focuses entirely on a single, slender bottle. It was a fun artistic challenge to put together.
That being said, you've given me a cool new idea. Fishbowl survival! I'll have to see what I can create along those lines!

When I'm not writing, editing or publishing, I'm minecrafting.
Nice bite-sized survival map, looks like you literally core sampled an incredibly dense generated map and enclosed it.
I've been trying to setup a compact drowning trap from the first spawner that flows down into the next three, then down to the bottom of the bottle for a collection area. This.... is more difficult than I anticipated because I've never built a mob trap before. XD
Anyway, good work, i likes it. The linked video was hilarious too.

That's a pretty ambitious plan, considering how many spawners there are in such a small space, haha! Very cool though! You'll have to snap some screens at some point-- I'd love to see what you've put together.
The video was definitely a hoot! Haha. Thanks for the kind words, also!
