Just downloaded it, had killer lag even at bare-bones specs, so I put it in creative and put some TNT on top of the iron bar trees, then after getting the water I flew around putting it in places with a lot of flowing lava, after about 1 hour I can play it on normal render distance, I just hope I didn't break anything.
I haven't gotten too far into it, about midway through the ravine, playing with keepinventory on as lag spikes tend to leave me helpless after jumping big falls (I'm not sure why). I've died quite a few times already (due to aforementioned lag).
One thing I would suggest would be giving the trader a counter from which they can't escape that easily, since I tend to get paranoid with them getting attacked by zombies and walking into lava
Oh. My. Gosh. That ending. I love this map so much. It was so well made! And the weirdest thing happened, too. Spoiler alert!
When I played Eronev 1, I had switched my skin to a humanoid pumpkin. When I saw that the NPCs were pumpkins, It was like, "Sweet, I'm one of them!". THEN, before I played Eronev two, I had switched my skin to a human woman. It felt like a weird coincidence to find out that my in-story character was a woman, too. Then I found out the ending...Whoa. Jarig is a pumpkin, my character is a woman, their kid, the player of Eronev 1, is a humanoid pumpkin. It just broke my brain. I also loved it when Jarig added, "I would never hurt you!" Great foreshadowing. You don't know how many mapmakers have a hard time being subtle enough. Love it! Oh, an that part at the beginning when Jarig said, "Mm, I just realized how much I talk..." I was like, "That was weirdly intimate. Jarig just sounded like my boyfriend or something." LITTLE DID I KNOW. Was that intentional? It was the best.
Spoiler over.
Thanks for making this map. The sheer quality and time put into it...astounding. I've never seen a map this well put together, and I swear you must be the wizard of redstone or something. I am SO playing it again.

Thanks for the feedback. Actually with the 1.5.2 update I DRASTICALLY reduced the iron bar trees and covered large areas of flowing lava over with water. If I did anymore it would wreck the progression of the map so I can't really cover any more. What you did with the TNT and water should be ok, all the redstone is protected and the worst that could happen is some item frames could have fallen off.
As for the counter, you're free to make your own Each villager is self contained in their shop and safe until you enter it, or break it to leave it. They wont die, but if you do let them out they sometimes end up swimming to the surface in lava

All the foreshadowing and references Jarig makes are all intentional. By the time you read his diary at the end, it pretty much references each puzzle encounter and tries to point them out, but if you play it a second time you will really get to start to notice a lot more hints about what the future will hold. Especially Ben's Diaries in their respectives parts. I work really hard in getting believable and aware characters in my maps. They really need to sound like they're talking back to you or it just doesn't work so I always put extra time into things like that. It's sad really because often it goes completely unnoticed but then every now and again I get a post like yours from someone who really appreciates the time I put into the character dialogue so I'm really happy that you said it and glad you got the references and enjoyed the ending

haha I'm no wizard, just a guy who enjoys making maps and adventures for people to go on. When you play it again, don't forget to look out for references you may have missed, there are lots of hints that point to the ending that you maybe didn't notice the first time
I was playing the map and I went to the "final area" it seemed kinda pointless. Other than lewt there wasn't anything to collect.
Not sure what you mean by the final area, there are a few, but there is tonnes of things to collect in the achievement room... you didn't go in there? It's on the opposite side of the CTM room.

It was the one with melee pigmen, supercharged creepers, cave spiders, and blazes. Under the petrified tree I think.
Gold is applied to food to enhance it, such as golden apples and carrots. This doesn't make sense. You would not smother an apple in butter, and if you did, it'd probably give you a heart-attack, not bestow you with magical healing abilities.
Havent played this map, but im about to! I just finished Eronev 1 mansion adv and am already excited for eronev 3. Can you give us a rough percentage of how far youre done with Eronev 3?

Oh, there is some things at the end of the darkness decent dungeon cave to go into the achievement room. If you need a hint to get through...
