The stacked potions are extremely convenient, because I can stack them even further as long as I don't use them down to one
Example: I have 16 healing potions II on one slot and another 8 healing potions II on another slot. And I can stack them into 23 healing potions II on one slot while one potion remaining on another slot
Wow really great map! I'm playing the map with my brother and it's just beautiful. what version of minecraft did you start making the map in? Im currently in the caves near the spawn. I'll try not to ragequit this one
This is my favorite, and (in my opinion), the best map in all of Minecraft. I would love to meet the person who thought of, and built this masterpiece
Wow, such a great compliment! Thank you so much, that really helps motivate me to make Uncharted Mines an even greater experience than the first map! I'm really happy you're enjoying it
God dammit. Why can't I find the monument? I've been through hell so far, and I have no record of my progress.
Ah well, I'll probably find it someday. "Episode 73 - I finally found the monument! "
Don't tell me where it is, though. That would ruin the surprise
I won't tell you where it is, but I will, however, tell you that it is very easy to find if you follow the story you would also find it quite quickly, but that is all I will say

Ahhh I see you caught on to that too! Not a lot of people notice that, bravo ;D

Actually, to be honest, I can't remember what version, but I first started it off using forms of editing, and a lot of it was placing blocks (I had a lot of useless time on my hands). I used to have individual folders each containing "Early 1.2" "New 1.2" "Pre-release 12w16a" etc. to convert back and forth, unless changing the game version would ruin an aspect of the map. Being dumb as I am, I accidentally changed from 1.3.2 back to 1.2 for a while, then realising I had just destroyed every single book in existance on my map. "Lucky" for me, that was my only copy of my map because I discovered that my usb was destroyed in the washing machine xD Rewriting was the most unpleasant experience I have had in Minecraft :/
what am i supposed to do in the bedrock room with the switches and redstone torches, with the water and lapis in the middle?
If you haven't yet, go to the overhang cliffs (basically behind the stone bridge, over the hill until you find the fishing hut on the ice lake, and then turn around and you should see the entrance) and find all 5 binary books. These are the clues for what levers to use in that room. Once you have them all, it's actually pretty simple.

i was only going for the blocks so i kindaaaaa got rid of them....
It took a while to get nice and situated, but now that I've got renewable leather, food, and stone tools, I'm having a lot of fun. I've taken over the abandoned city island (spider dungeon and some other stuff underneath, next to spawn).
A lot more adventure must await, I only have one of the notes and one of the wool at this point. o_O
I was wondering, why was it called the fallen metropolis if it doesn't even resemble a metropolis in any way? The only thing I've seen so far that kind of looks like a city is the forest temple, and that's more like an underground village if anything.

Danggg, someone caught on... You'll just have to see why in Uncharted Mines... heheheh

Nice! I hope you're having fun, I'm trying to keep updated on people's progress

Thanks for helping him out! I might add in another warning at the puzzle, and remove
the waterfall, because some people just avoided the puzzle and floated up. I didn't realise that it was a noticable thing to do :/
, but otherwise I hope it's quite obvious I want you to explore around before visiting that place!
I'm going to be off Minecraft for a while, I'm cracking under pressure from my courses this semester. Functions, Physics, Biology, and English is a little too much to handle if I'm trying to do this as well. I'm sorry guys, but as you know school comes first, especially for this year. Getting into the engineering course I want to get into isn't easy...I actually caused myself to get a migraine from the stress over a physics test today on centripetal motion and orbits, etc. Hopefully I'll be back on track soon and start creating my masterpieces that I've wanted to use.
random diamond ore + fortune iron pick = enough diamonds for a sword. I hope there's more than 9 diamonds in this map, or I just lost the diamond block from my list.
I did finally find the victory monument. The victory monuments that is. This map could take a while. orange/red/green wool, iron/gold blocks now. Slow and steady wins the race. I've cranked up the difficulty in this map with elemental creepers, and it is a doozy.
I only need the Pumpkin and I can't find it anywhere. Hints anyone?
Oh and about the dungeon that leads to the end portal, is there a proper entrance to that place?
I'm also assuming the Dragon Egg isn't from a chest.
The "proper" entrance to those areas is only revealed in the black depths. I'm sure you found a book talking about a crying diamond, which I should've called a "star". That then gives you the entrance clue. I will also tell you that there is pumpkin in that area, and a chest also alludes to it's location

There are tons of diamonds to spare, you'll just have to find them You have to love people who go rushing into harder areas and grab diamonds, then complain that some of the dungeons are too easy. I'm most definitely not saying that's you, it sounds like you're doing great! I just find it funny when people do that, and I thought I'd share my opinion on that xD
Downloaded the map a couple days ago and I've really been loving it so far.
However, yesterday I was in the underground section where the monuments are and I kept getting Out of Memory problems with my computer. It seems like every time I get close to that area of the map I get a warning that I'm low on memory and then eventually minecraft shuts down. I'm hoping this is just a fluke. I could always try restarting my computer, or closing down some of the other stuff in the background, or using a smaller render distance, but I've played a lot of custom maps before this and my computer usually never has any problems at all, so this has me worried a bit.
Is this a known issue with the map, or is it just me? I really want to keep playing the map, but obviously I won't be able to continue if this keeps happening every time I try to place a block in the monuments.

You're the only one that has that problem, I'm afraid I've had that with Vechs' maps, so it's not the creator's fault. I've tried redownloading before, cause something may have happen to a specific chunk to make it unrenderable :S
I started playing your map yesterday and i've been having a blast, great job
I'm at two deaths and just got the bedrock block, and I have a question related to the library.
From earlier posts it seems like in 1.2 you wanted to add bedrock walls but keep the roof open, however for me,both the walls and the roof were bedrock lined.
I'm not sure if this is intended or not,but I wanted to let you know.
Once again,great map
EDIT: Just got white wool and "if only lucy were here" chest.
that is some very good loot

Seems I need to fix that one room in the Cathedral room Ughhhh I missed one of the doors.
