The Gravedigging section was interesting (almost disappointed by the lack of my name, but I suppose I'm not the most influential person around. ) Also, um, I don't think that area has enough loot. Might want to add more, just so the player doesn't feel cheated, kk? :3
I know this was a few days ago, but I forgot to reply to this...
Why were you disappointed? I asked people on the CTM Shop thread and smushed them all into a little project when LoDII was still in development, which you probably ignored, or didn't see.
Also, I watched Dylan's final episode. Good job with the map, and I'm glad you liked it.
After examining the screen shots heres what i got. Food and custom (native) mobs
Just so people know, the map will start off at a medium difficulty, then it will increase to hard as you progress. Food won't be too big of a problem, but good armor, weapons and coal will be scarce up to the first intersection. Iron will come in middle game, so keep your good equipment in good shape. Speaking of, there will be treasure altars that contain special loot similar to Dreadsky Isles.
Each area will have one or more custom monsters that feature specifically in that dungeon, similar to LoDII's native enemies. I also have some interesting plans for friendly mob or item spawners though, and you'll see later (Or when you play the map :P).
I have big news to say. Lands of Desire II has reached over 1000 downloads! I'd like to thank everyone for playing the map, all my forum buddies and the beta testers and all LPers who have supported this map!
So, new post needs a new question:
What kind of currency would you like to see in Map 2? Lands of Desire II used experience potions, and should I continue with that?

Apples? They are hard to farm but you can still get them or lapis lazuli?
Well techniqully speaking all u need is 1 golden apple not god one a weakness potion and 1 villager zombie use the weakness and golden apple get a village started get xp bottles from a certain villager

I think I may stick with enchanting potions as the main currency. It's probably the most suited item in this case.
They're hard to get legitimately, and the only bad thing about using them is that you can't use any other item to get immediate experience (Unless you set up a grinder). However, I will most likely place an 'Free XP Spawner' in the VM so you can get infinite experience in exchange for a few seconds. The enchanting tables and anvils come early on, but the bookshelves come late game, so it is balanced.
Progress of Death or Exile (First time I have used that name actually, yeah that is the name if you haven't noticed :P) is going okay. I have gone up to I2, and now working on the monument area. I do however have to completely change an area in I1, so that's going to come later. I may or may not post pictures of it, but we'll see if anyone wants to see it.
Is progress going okay then, Draco? In your message you seemed a bit pessimistic about it
Yeah, progress is ok. I think I'm going to pause the development of the map once I finish all I1 areas and I2. I will release it in 2 months at maximum. Reason for this is that I don't want this map to get hidden by Pantheon and Inferno Mines (More excited about Pantheon though, even though it's ROM-Hack).
Over 1100 downloads for LoDII so far. My mood is lightening up.

The only problem with that is that the player can farm xp, enchant a bunch of the same tool, then combine them all in the anvil, and come out with some super powerful tool. Unless you're very strict with anvil giving, this is actually a reasonable strategy, although a bit cheap.

Just finished Lands of Desire II with my girlfriend, it was a nice and easy break after Super Hostile Legendary. I loved the cool level designs, especially the giant water sculptures. It was nice that you spread out resources like stone, wood and coal so that we didn't have to cart supplies back and forth between different areas.
The only problem I ran into was accidentally breaking one of the command teleporter blocks (damn you efficiency picks!) so I had to cheat and fix it in creative mode. Maybe you should cover the blocks with obsidian or bedrock in the future.
The level difficulty curve was pretty good, although I accidentally made it to the final stage and
got access to diamonds
really early on. The final stages were especially cool, the volcano was a little too easy with the help of fire resistance potions but the last level was an awesome challenge! I'm really looking forward to your next map.
(At the end of the game we were missing one emerald and searched every single area and stage for it until I went back to the final stages and realized I had left it in a chest. >.<)

That lava one is very nice! The mushrooms go well with the scenery.

It's going to be more of a traditional CTM, but the storyline in the map will add from LoD's story, if you get what I mean.
Okay, this will be the last screenshot I'll be taking for a while. The completed Elemental Shrine!
Yay! Looks nice huh?

But it requires crafting so you know what its close enough to crafting for me to classif it as crafting the end

I demand 2000 downloads by end of march!
Sorry I'll try to include you specially for Death or Exile!
I hope so.
