Review Summary:
I enjoyed this short puzzle map for the complexity and challenge of the non-linear puzzles.
There are no directions, so each puzzle requires that you THINK to figure it out.
Only six puzzles, but each is well built; A 3-d maze, a sound/memory puzzle, a path memory puzzle, and a unique combination lock, an tough archery puzzle, and an optional, insane speed jumping puzzle.
The redstone behind the scenes is quite impressive.
I played...
Minecraft Ver: 1.2.5
Mode: Single player
Difficulty: Easy
Texture Pack: default
Mods Used: none
The mirrored spawn room makes me suspicious Not sure what to expect here.
I think I went in the 3rd hall on the left from the actual spawn.
Red, Blue, Red (blue was bad), Orange (not purple), yellow (Cyan was bad), green (not purple), light blue (not pink), blue (orange was bad), purple (yellow was bad)
Rainbow! (But the first 2 - red and blue - didn't follow the pattern
What...? I'm all the way back at the beginning?
Hmmm - that red hallway is now green. I think that's cool.
Going into the middle door on the same wall.
Oh, do I have to memorize that?!
That took a while. It wasn't too bad by sound, but I ended up doing more trial and error sequences.
Ok - now the first (final) door on that wall.
I randomly pressed the 5 blue buttons, now I have to untangle what they do...
Aha! (that was a lot of pressing and waiting)
Going to the far end, last red door on right.
Memory maze. I really like that the actual maze was 2x the guideline.
Middle red. Says to do this last. Ok.
Last red door. Very happy - BOWS!
A comment on the beds - they're SO close to the main spawn point they're not really that useful...
Aw. I don't think I can do this one on my computer. Too much lag to hit the falling carts. I hit the last one only because I just shot every chance I got (instead of trying to time/aim).
Ok - I had to block off the holes in the floor and wait for the minecarts to work their way thru and solve the system. Brilliant redstone, but I couldn't do it with lag.
A stairway down opened in the main hall before I did the last red room - is that right? Oh no - that's a bug. I didn't finish the last "hardest" red hall - I only went in and then turned back.
Going in to see...
OMG... is this a timed parkour up to those buttons? Everything is going SO fast. Like... less than 10 seconds the walls all move around. And with lag I can't even move.
Here's how I cheated, but remember the exit was already open.
I spawned a dog, tamed it with spawned bones, sat it on the middle pressure plate, waited until the walls stopped spazming, then flew up and pressed a random button. A blue hall opened, then I just ran out.
I got the 100% ending after the minecart. Pretty cool.

Overall I was really impressed with the map. It was a bit on the short side but all the puzzles were very original. I'm kind of glad you didn't try to cram a story into it like some maps attempt to do when ti really doesn't need it. One thing I do have to say is that jump puzzle was just cruel.
Overview:
CLUELESS is a truly mind boggling redstone based puzzle game. It is mind boggling not only because of the many challenging puzzles, but because the thought of all the redstone power going into this map is truly amazing. CLUELESS contained many original challenges and several mini games that simply blew my mind. I had a wonderful time playing and reviewing this map, and it was probably one of the best custom maps that I’ve ever played.
The Good:
Many of the puzzles were confusing, and sometimes frustrating, but nearly every one left me smiling or in a daze of redstone awesome. Aside from the initial rules given at spawn, no other help is directly given to the player, you are left to solve each puzzle on your own. While some might find this extremely frustrating, it took me back to an era when games didn’t hold your hand through the whole process, and you were left to your own wits to survive. The lack of help also adds a lot to the feeling of accomplishment after you finish a room, much like the feeling when you completed Portal for the first time. I believe I said the words “I’m a genius!” more times than anything else during this puzzle map than anything else. I can’t really say much more about the great parts of this map without spoiling it for others, but believe me when I say that nearly every puzzle room is a beautiful work of redstone. Oh, and the chests of goodies at the end was quite enjoyable to my inner griefer
The Bad:
However, there were only six puzzles to be completed, which gave me just under an hour of gameplay (granted, I cheated in the parkour room). The shortage of puzzles is really the biggest downer in CLUELESS. But there were a few other tiny niches that bothered me a little bit. Granted, I’m already quite terrible at parkour, but from my perspective, it seemed like the parkour room was nearly impossible to complete in under a half hour of learning the correct path to take. Also, in the maze-type room with the 6,000 pressure plates, the solution to the puzzle was quite confusing. After revisiting it, I saw that the path was in fact given to the player, but my first time going in, I only glanced at it, thinking it was decoration, which left me with the good 20 minute task of trial and error until I found the solution. I know that I mentioned earlier that the lack of help makes you feel smarter upon completing the room, but bypassing the solution made that puzzle very frustrating.
The Ugly:
I didn’t find any sort of bugs or accidental exposed redstone in this map. Obviously at the finish there is the minecart ride showing off all the circuitry, but that was clearly intentional and quite impressive.
Suggestions:
-MOAR PUZZLES!!!
-Put a sign in front of each entrance hinting to the player what they’re up against before they get locked in the room
-Most of this map was the typical iron block and glowstone rooms, maybe mix it up a bit, add some visual spice

what mc version are you running? iive noticed there have been some bugs in the newer videos, specifically with levelcompletetion, that i can't seem to find a logical explanation for. Im on vacation right now, but when i get back, i will be doing bug fixes, as well as fixing the screens in the thread
thread updated! pictures fixed, and more videos added!
please report any bugs you find, and say what version you have! its in the name of the .zip, and if your .zip has no version, then it is a very old version

REVIEW:
Gameplay: 9/10
The gameplay with this map, was extremely smooth. I absolutely loved how all of the puzzles would work smooth, as well as your excellent redstone work. The redstone work is the highlight on this map, and you did extremely good. after i did my first puzzle, i couldn't believe that the door over it was marked with green wool. That the workings of the map where great.
Unique Properties: 8/10
Now, if you had to ask me where the map was weakest, i would say here. The map just feels vanilla, but in a good way. I'm not gonna say that you made a bad choice of theme, I'm just gonna say that having a theme in general would give this map a ton of potential. On the bright side, this map has some neat ways of using redstone to make you think. Difficulty: 10/10
Now i'm not gonna lie. There was a puzzle, on this map, where i had to look at a walkthrough to figure it out. This map is amazingly difficult, and it really requires hard thinking as well as trial and error. The map's difficulty adds the all over flavor to the entire experience. Even though you didn't use a difficulty curve, the difficulty stays pretty steadily, and it makes for a great map.
Flawlessness: 9.5/10
For the most part, the map was rock solid. I could barely find ANY flaws with this map. It was virtually impossible to exploit, and it was nice knowing that. The only few flaws i did run in to, was the music block test, where you couldn't go back and look at the wall after going to the buttons, kinda like the test with the blue buttons where you could pop in and out. Otehr then that, rock solid. Smoothness: 10/10
The map's transitions where wonderful. Allways ending up back to the start was rewarding, and being on new paths after each test was pretty rewarding. The slow and steady theme of getting all 6 tests done was great, sittin in the main hub looking at your green wool blocks (and maybe that nether block one. ehhhh....) It was perfect. Design: 9/10
Other then a few points where i would be stuck, the map design was wonderful. Your redstone work with this map was the icing on the cake. The map's theme was very simple, and the tests where allways different and it really felt like a trial.
This map had me frustrated to no end. The tests where difficult and sometimes confusing, and it was really hard. THATS what i like in a puzzle map! Puzzle maps are made to force you to think in order to move on. This map had me playing for hours, and it was worth it getting a roller coaster ride around it at the end. Great work.
yeah, the minecart puzzle is a little buggy, but theres no good way of fixing that, believe me i tried. And i congradulate you, noone has understood the color puzzle that quickly. And i should specify that the door for the jumping puzzle REMAINS open at night
would really be appreciated if you would specify. I haven't played it since the Minecraft version it came out with, and so newer updates may not work so well. If anyone has any bugs, please submit!
