Map #02: Ornate Cage
Locked and sealed with the power of the first mages, this cage imprisons and protects the foundational magics of the universe, lest the untapped power within be exploited for depraved deeds. This map is designed as a quick rush, optimized for speedruns.
An unholy vestige of a primordial wasteland burning through the stars, carrying its corrupt passengers along for the destructive voyage as it spills molten cargo from its belly. This map is moderately difficult, with a similar length.
Waterfall Steppes was actually the hardest one for me so far... dumb spiders! Eventually I just tunneled to the red wool from the steppe below it.
Ornate Cage was a very fun rush. Waiting for an enderpearl to fall as you throw it from wool to wool is very tense - I never was able to get back onto the glowstone after falling tho - is it possible?
Desert Prime looked very good and was fairly easy (if you take the right approach). I went up to the red first, and jumped right into the zombies with str and lit it up with fire charges. For the lime... well, you can kinda see what I did on the screenshot (spawners punched through - 1)
I'm excited for the rest! The difficulty has been fairly moderate so far, thank you for the fun challenges.
Ugh. This third one is tough. I can get the red wool okay, but the lime wool is just awful. Still fun as always though, I'll probably show all my victory pictures in an oversized album of egotistical awesomeness once this whole thing is over.
On desert prime I went up to red first (no soulsand necessary), and then I came back down for lime. My method for lime was to make a protective, vertical pillar straight up from the spawn, punch through some sandstone and a skeleton spawner, and steal the wool right from under their noses. This is probably the easiest way if you have the patience for punching a few blocks.
Also... I didn't run into any baby zombies, you must be really unlucky with the zombie spawners :/
Xekaj - Maybe this was not want you intended, but...When I saw a Power X Punch X bow and a Projectile Protection III chestplate, I immediately thought, "Bow Jump."

that was amazing, congratulations, you are amazing at this game, would upvote but I have reached my maximum quota.

Meanwhile I'm just trying not to get overwhelmed by spiders. Fantastic job.
Ok can i just say that looks breath taking?
I feel old.
I mean this is still in my damn saves folder, and this isn't even all of them.
Did first map in 2 tries, second map in 5 tries. Editing videos now.
P.S. I hacked red wool in in Map #2 due to exploding red wool chest.

Waterfall Steppes: > 10 attempts (stupid spiders)
Ornate Cage: 2 attempts
#2 is really good for training for a speedrun, especially since I'm a first-timer on that.

Just bridge over and use waterfalls. Also, keep running.

Mmm... you got really unlucky on the red wool there. But it's quite easy (the map), you can always restart.
I had little patience.

1) Farm soul sand.
2) Make backup.
3) Load backup upon failure.
4) ???
5) Sell backup on eBay.
6) Profit.
My general rule for this kind of maps (#1 specifically), although usually I'm too lazy to do step 2.
