You attacked a Pigman. That's hilarious :tongue.gif:.
As for the minecarts, not sure what happened there. There are 6 carts at that station - two of them will now be at the destination station. The rest should still be in the crypt station's pez. The empty cart detection certainly worked, or else there would have been two empty carts in your way as you travelled along the track the first time.
Maybe a monster spawned on the cart collection track and disrupted the cart's re-entry into the pez? The area outside the station *should* be lit up like a birthday cake, but you never know, I guess. Once the map's over, I don't suppose you could take a peek outside the walls of that station to see? :tongue.gif:.
This map was just mentioned in the "MMAHP" - the "Map Makers After Hours Podcast" starring BlameTheController, RSmalec and Jigarbov - posted on Blame's YouTube channel.
-hiding the iron sword and armour, great way to encourage looking around...
-Good storyline, nice beginning...
-The castle is magnificent! Great building!
-The castle is very easy to get lost in, perhaps some signs in the staircases?
-This story is really getting to me now, I'm stuck into it!
-I've found a passage under the fountain, but I'm not sure if I'm supposed to go here yet, but I'll check for now... nothing but minecarts? hmmmm...
-That minecart ride was epic...
-Wow! These structures are amazing!
-Just before I looked up a LP to see what was supposed to happen after the holy water flowed out, FINALLY more water flows from the ceiling (was it supposed to be delayed a lot?)
-Holy moley :wink.gif:! That spider rush was intense!!!
-Ghast spawners look ridiculous :laugh.gif:...
-I found the note from Harper about the "secret room above the inn", but I looked up there and nothing interesting...
-Dockstown is all very intricate and everything seems to be connected.
-Oh yeah! Diamond helmet! :biggrin.gif:
-Diamond sword FTW!!! It really does encourage you to search a lot!
-Tree of life?? Wh-who-how????
-Nice ostensible path to the keep (wait, is that a word?)
-Going around the transformed castle is very suspenseful, it looks the same, but still very different (if that makes sense :$)
-Achievement get! 50 slimeballs!
-Place the holy water, collect the holy water...
-Good or evil? Well, good it is... I hope I dont miss any slimeballs on the evil side!
-"Play good scene 01". Phew, I did it right, I got a bit confused and wasnt sure...
-Hmmm, a cult church under your grave... Are you trying to tell us something, Armanon?
-Wait. I climbed all the way up a church for some books and paper??? (Well, the gold was good... :wink.gif:)
-Erm, am I supposed to be able to get into the sewers in Dockston? If so I have no idea where to go (Switched to default texture to see wheree to actually go but yeah, you can actually jump over the fences near where the sign is and end up in the housing quarter.)
-Wow... great finish to a great story! (I don't really get the thing with the minecarts and redstone though (was I supposed to be able to get up to that?)
-I went back after finishing and tried out the evil ending, which was good as well (well, not good, because it was evil, but it was still.. oh you know what I mean :tongue.gif:) and I loved the credits, which I must have missed somehow with the good ending.
Finishing up, amazing map!!! One of the most detailed adventure maps I have done, and it has a really smooth and solid storyline which is always there in the adventure. This map really encourages you to look around and I always enjoy maps with a scoring sytem and this was no exception! I really loved the multiple endings and the scenery that always changed! Honestly, the texture pack was amazing, and if you could keep updating it with the new versions of MC, I would probably always use it! The only bugs/problems (which were very small) I found in the map was that moving towards the good ending you could jump over the invisible pathway on to the fence and into th housing quarter (around near where the sign was) and that it was hard to find the ride to the credits from the good ending (I assume there was one). Other than that, wonderful map, I look forward to any more you make! 20/20 from me!
Also, my final score was 54 slimeballs!! :biggrin.gif:

It's most gratifying that you enjoyed your time with my map!
-Yep, I need to make the ending credits entry a touch more obvious, I suspect.
-I also need to edit the rule note file, to adjust the numbers (there's no rule 4, you might have noticed).
-I should add a sign to the secret you discovered (very few have, btw), describing it as an "escape route". Notice the positioning of the minecarts... :wink.gif:. It may be worth it to add a secret chest down there, also.
There are no slimeballs to be found in either of the endings, once you get to the point of choosing between them, you've found all that you will.
-Bugger - you're not supposed to get to the sewers in the ending sequence! Maybe I'll add something down there for the curious in the future...
-You have to thank a forum-goer by the name of "Bonemouse" with his "Isabella" pack for the majority of the textures you saw in this map, along with a few by "Rhodox" from his "Painterly" pack. Full credit to them, they are awesome!
And just like that you've taken the lead with the slimeball count! There are plenty more to find, however... :wink.gif:
THAT WAS EPIC!!! very good story and you guys must of spent alot of time into this btw i got 36 slimes (i probly should of looked around instead of doing main quest)

"You guys..."? I made this map alone :tongue.gif:.
Very happy you enjoyed it, and your score has been added to the list.
I never quite got why it was called convenience... I looked it up in case it was a meaning I hadn't heard of but the only one with any relevance to the map was "a public toilet." And I'm pretty sure that's not why you chose the name.

Someone asked... I think on the first map he made. I believe the reason was an inside joke. I don't recall if it was ever shared though.

Did you finish the map? It *should* be apparent what the convenience is by the end of it.
And if you did finish the map, what was your score? There's a slot there waiting for you :wink.gif:.
The audio narration was excellent and the texture pack was pretty nice.
I would make some things more obvious, such as pressing the button to call a cart at the start, etc.
Other than that, it was awesome! I went down the "good path", although I'll have to check out the evil path in a bit.
My score/rating: 8.5/10
Just fix some of the confusing parts and it will run smoother. Also, I found my least favorite combination: water+webs+spiders. :tongue.gif:
There is intent behind the obscurity of the initial minecart acquisition - it hopefully trains the player to look around a bit more than they otherwise would. There are a few secrets that are redstone-triggered spread throughout the map, and this is a step in this direction. It's inevitable that they'll press the button when trying to figure out how to proceed - there's pretty much nothing else in that room could be taken as an exit :tongue.gif:.
So how many slimeballs did you find?
And I quite like that spider challenge - I haven't seen anything done in quite that way in any other adventure maps. I may tweak the quantity that spawns slightly - perhaps moving the first spawners slightly further away from the beds, as a couple of people have had trouble sleeping if they don't try to sleep immediately.
Very happy that you enjoyed the map! What other parts do you think I should work on?
We mess up royally :blink.gif:

Eh, it seems I forgot to convert the NOTES file from .docx to .rtf like I did with the readme file.
Here you go, upload the NOTES file to this website and it'll convert it into the older .doc format, which you're more likely to be able to open.

If you INSIST you can read those text-based notes, but you won't experience the map fully unless you listen to the audio files :tongue.gif:.
I couldn't find minecarts at the start, though! :/
Personally, I don't really like some aspects of the texture pack, but the map itself is great so far.

There was a sign that said "Part 3: the convenience." I didn't get it. Maybe I'm just slow.
..then I failed at parkour and fell in lava.
Ah, well. That's why I have MCedit. :tongue.gif:
