This Is My Second Map. My First Is Stranded Island. I've Been Working On It For Quite Awhile. I Worked Really Hard On This Map And Yes, I Know That The Lake Isn't Exactly L-Shaped But I Tried My Best And Also I Was Lazy To Make It Completely L-Shaped. Please Alert Me Of Any Bugs And Playthroughs. The Map Has Snow And Stuff Because Work First Started On 1.8.1 And When I Changed To 1.0.0, I Learned That I Was In A Snow Biome. Bugs; the TNT at the beginning blew up some of the land, The water fall at the beginning kept freezing(you can fix this by putting a block above the source.
Ideas; if you want the player to stay within the vicinity of the spawn I would suggest adding walls of some sort around the island, I also thought it was a little too easy (maybe you could put fewer trees and very little tall grass?)

Wow! I Can't Believe You Found That. Are You In The Area Of The Map? The Area Is The Lake And Places Near The Lake
Couple of things about this one. Re-due the map on 1.0.0 so you get rid of the snow and ice. It's a pain in the booty trying to make farms and the water keeps freezing, so get rid of that. Secondly, the challenges need to be reworked. No one wants to play a map and have the same goals as if they were playing their normal world. Of course we're going to build a house, a farm etc etc. So whenever I see those types of challenges I know the creator really didn't think their maps through or realize the maps potential.
What makes this map different than any world anyone can create with the normal game generator?
Why should we download it?
What is the big draw of the map?
You have more posts on the thread than anyone, which should be the first sign the map isn't doing so good. I think Minecraft players as a whole have moved beyond the "make a 2 story house and reed farm" type maps and they want a real challenge, like a CTM or a really difficult to survive map. These plain Jane maps aren't going to hold interest long if at all so the creative bar is way higher these days and must be met or surpassed to have any chance at a really good map that lots of people want to play.
I know you asked me to check the map out, and I did—I even started a first impression, but like I said, it didn't hold my interest and when I came here to see what I was supposed to do on the map, I decided to end the video recording and post instead.
I think what would have made for a better experience was to have us escape the craft somehow with little tools, and only give us a certain amount of time to do it in. There are ways to do this, see Vechs' Nightmare Realm for an example of what happens if you waste time.
Another idea would have been to hide the supplies to rebuild the plane to get out of there. Now that would have been a challenge, and really fun to do (and figure out how to). Keeping the snow melted as we searched for the supplies is another way you could have gone with this one. There are tons of other ideas than ‘make a farm’ and ‘build a two story house’. You have an imagination, utilize it (o:
