Edit (03/2016): Progress has been made. Get excited! Due to the nature of my life (adulthood) I will not specify when the release will happen. But I can say that once I am satisfied with the state of the map, I will release a version of it!
Since I haven't updated this post in a LONG time, please see all my edits below!
Here's the old title picture:
Golden Sun Adventurecraft Game!!! (v1.0 for AC1089 - Edit {03/2016} AC1095)
Author's Note: I would like to apologize to anyone who as been following this map, and waiting for an update for so long. A couple issues came up with the scripting and I wasn't able to fix it until very recently. The next version of the map will still be released, but for now, the latest release will be sometime mid-winter. Once again, my apologies, but I look forward to releasing the next version.
(Edit 03/2016): I am still looking forward to this!
READ THIS FIRST 1) By downloading/using this game, you agree&validate the associated license.
2) To play this game, you MUST have the ADVENTURECRAFT MOD by CRYECT! Which you can find on the wikkii with the following link: Adventure Craft Wikkii page
Edit (03/2016): The link no longer works, but I may upload the mod along with the map, later.
3) Please report any bugs you find, or any suggestions you may have by posting a comment below! I NEED SCRIPTING HELP 1)I am trying to make a sort of "magic" item, where if you are holding it, you can press a key, and it will bring up an option screen. This screen would show clickable options for states to set the item to. For example. Imagine if you just had a rod, but you could press a key to go to an option screen to choose whether its current state functions as an ice rod or a fire rod. So, if its function was an ice rod and you clicked it at leaves nothing would happen. But in its fire rod state, it would burn the leaves away--however, in my case I would just want it to have the ability to either make the certain blocks either appear, disappear, or "move". Also, the reason it is magic is because you need to recharge it by either picking up magic replenishing items, or by clicking it onto a big magic item (like Vale's Psynergy stone).
Edit (03/2016): A long while ago I figured this out! I can probably implement this in future.
2)I really need help with is scripting the ability to make items appear by hitting "crates" (although I may just use buttons and Redstone Triggers next to the "crates" to spawn an item from a dropbox--I may post a vid of this on youtube)
Edit (03/2016): I have successfully figured this out! ... I had to figure out how to "roll logs" in a log puzzle. It's tons of fun!
Based off of the Golden Sun Gameboy Advance Game Note: The overlays in the texture pack are mostly 1400X900 sized, and the textures use a 128x128 layout, even though some of the textures look like they're 8-bit
ATTENTION: I will be taking this map in a direction other than just being the original Golden Sun Game! (see the end of this OP for details)*****
SKINS This game involves the use of skins that are made both by me, and by others. The following are pages I used skins from.
- by Icy Wind: MinecraftForum Link I may eventually create my own skins for these characters, too!
Edit (03/2016): I HAVE created a bunch of skins for the characters. Yay!

After careful consideration of time constraints and many other factors, I have decided to take this map in a completely different direction than I had previously planned. The following steps are the thought processes behind what my planning was throughout, and the decision I have now come to:
Let's make a Golden Sun map in Minecraft! I'll do it pretty much to scale, exactly as it is in the actual gameboy advance game, and it will be awesome.
Wow this is taking so long, but it's gonna be worth it!
What's this? A game called Adventurecraft? Transferring files in process....
Done! Now let's get to some real building and editing!
This is so time consuming! Yes Vale looks awesome, but I don't think I have enough time to make every single area, and besides they'd make the file too large! And scripting everything in is getting really hard! Maybe I should release them all as separate games.. but that doesn't really work... hmmm.
Recently: (Over a year later) Yes! I got a 3DS! And the game Golden Sun Dark Dawn! Yay!
Hmmm... I know! I'll make a new game! With my old map, but with new ideas! Horaaaaay!
So there you have it. I have decided to keep everything I've already built, but incorporate it into a new game I'm making in the Golden Sun series. All my ideas, plot, characters, everything. It's going to be good, I promise, and in it I will do my best to keep it as close gameplay and plot-wise to the Golden Sun series as possible.
I have been set back a little bit due to a busy schedule (I have an internship and summer sessions of school), and due to this new idea, but I will still be releasing a demo soon this summer.
I hope you guys enjoy it, I'm VERY excited to make this
To all the fans of the map, or of my work, or of just Golden Sun in general, do not be dismayed.
Yes, it has been 6 full years since I started working on this.
Yes, I am considered an "adult" with a "job" and "adult responsibilities".
Yes, I have limited time to work on this as I age.
But...
It is still happening. I am still working. And it will be... EPIC.
This looks amazing! I used to play golden sun far too much, and now minecraft as well.
But merging the 2? Next level.
Hahaha thanks. There is some extensive work going into this project, as I am an AVID fan haha. I used to go to this military academy, and one week this guy sneaked in a GBA and I did his chores for him in exchange for playtime every night haha. Now, I just play it on my comp with an emulator. (Sooo good.)
Mate, I'm restraining myself from starting to play Golden Sun again, it would just use up all my free time. I have a GBA emulator on my droid as well, I could play it everywhere...
What's your aim here then, are you trying to recreate the whole world, or just the area from GS1? (I say just, I know it's huge enough)
Now, see, there's the big issue. I knew it would be big, but I didn't realize it would be THIS big. I'm worried I'm going to have to make only a few towns in one map, and then have to make a completely different map file for other towns.
My original goal was to either recreate all the towns and make similar scripting so that you could pretty much play the actual GBA version here, or to just recreate all the towns.
However, there's also a little thought that maybe I could make a split-off game, where the player is a new character who has his/her own quests that are similar to Isaac's quests, but creates a whole new game. (The character would also probably eventually interact with Isaac's group.) The new game would of course have the main character's goal as doing something to assist in the saving of Weyard. (but that's just a minor thought, and isn't necessarily set in stone).
So either way, there are big plans for this game haha
Also, that's awesome!!! Where did you get the emulator? I have GBA N64 and DS Emulator's for PC but I'd LOVE to have emulators on my phone haha
Ohhh wow now I really can't wait !
When will you release this damn map aha
Soon, hopefully. I'm having problems with lag on my maps and I have no idea why. When I play your map it runs fine, when I play Zelda Adventure it runs fine, but when I try to run either my Golden Sun map or Bioshock map it lags like a mother. Ugh.
Dude, I've been seeing this map on the AC wiki for a while now.... You have brought it back to life and you are giving it an original twist! This is what AC needs more of, original content. I can't wait to see what you have in store for this map!
i love the way all stuff, textures, buildings and lanscaping looks, i would love to make a lets play but the textures are so high, so do u think u can make a version with 128x128, 64x64 and 32x32? that would help really much for me and then im able to make some lets plays XD
Good luck!!!

Thanks for the suggestion! I'll do that right now, maybe if I build using reverted textures it'll stop the lag on my laptop..
EDIT: Yup. That seems to have worked... for now haha

In any case your two maps run fine on my computer !
This makes me so sad. I wasn't the first one to think of this I am working on the entire map of GS right now. Then I saw this. *sigh*
Don't be upset! You should keep making the whole map! I encourage that! We won't make them exactly the same way anyway Also, I'm not... necessarily... making the whole map.. just so you know... there may or may not be parts of other golden sun maps in this game when I'm done...
Then give me diamonds! I am doing some bug-fixes concerning things I inputted around August of 2012, but once I finish all that, we should be good to go for the next demo.
Just a quick question, are you thinking I will release more of the build of the original Golden Sun? Or do you know that I'm taking the game in my own direction?

Unfortunately, at the moment I only really need a script-writer. Thank you though!

Well then your computer is a BAMF haha
if you need some one to write a script il be glad just send me some info and il start right away
Thanks, I don't necessarily need scripting help at this exact point in what I'm doing, but if I do in the near future, I'll certainly let you know.
