The redstone under Aganhim's chamber (after he makes Zelda disappear) is stuck in the 'on' state and needs to be reset or it won't teleport you to the end.
And... feedback...
What's the point of the red pearls, the zora flippers? They didn't translate well to Minecraft.
Were there supposed to be hostile mobs spawning around the overworld? I don't think I ever saw one except a random pigman, and it wasn't aggressive.
As mentioned by a few other posters. Chests under bushes/rocks. PLEASE. I get how it's supposed to simulate the random drops in Zelda, but with tiledrops off, all we find is empty chests or worse, you spend 10 minutes clearing leaves and there's no chests.
After Death Mountain, suddenly when I died I started getting a 'Game Over' screen that I had never gotten before? That was weird. I saw it in an LP as well.
And finally, TWICE in this map (and I am not sure how this could be your fault) I logged out to take a break, logged back in, took about 3 steps and poof was teleported to the very start of the map in the tutorial room. Not sure how that's possible unless maybe some mob spawned in the starting area and hit a tripwire or pressure plate? Anyway, the only way out was to break through doors and press the button which cleared my inventory. SO you can see how that would be a bummer. Luckily I had a backup save and eventually stabilized.
Lastly, there's a grave in the graveyard surrounded by invisible blocks. I couldn't figure out how to access it and it never seemed to come into the story?
I really think these bugs need to be fixed. It doesn't have to be updated to 1.7+ but at least fix these bugs (although upgrading would be good too).
And...
I guess I forgot that this is a 'to be continued'? Was it before, or was there a full ending. I really hope you continue it!!
In any case, my LP will be starting December 2nd. http://www.youtube.com/rsmalec I hope you (Peanuts363) find it useful, and I hope you (readers) find it enjoyable!
AMAZING MAP!!! I'm an enormous LoZ fan and absolutely love this map. I have yet to play and look through all of it, but i do know that a dark world would be the next HUGE step. (after updating to 1.7) ;P keep up the great work.
Hey, this looks great! I can really appreciate all the time and details that went into the aesthetic work on this map...holy cow, this is AWESOME!
However, do you mind if I make some changes to the tutorial area? There are some moderately off-putting issues with basic mechanics here, and I'd be more than willing to help resolve them (without 1.7 features).
1) There is no check for command blocks being enabled on servers (if you are like me and share this awesome map with friends)...not to come across as stupid or anything, but I found this map after the 1.7 updates; it's difficult keeping track of when these changes roll out. Sooo...I've made a fix for this so that players can't advance unless command blocks are enabled.
2) Keys. Are you supposed to just stand in front of the door? Drop it into a hopper? Oh...you're supposed to place the "key" (actually a lever) onto the wall. This could use better explanation...especially for "big keys"...I couldn't open the big door. I can see what you did with the double doors and paintings...but I still don't know where I'm supposed to "place" this key (redstone torch)...inside the "locked" chest that I could open just fine?
Reaaaally confused here...also really bummed that the torch disappears in adventure mode, so if you mess up placing it you end up stuck there forever.
3) Bombs. I don't know how to use them....I think...it's a bit confusing; are you supposed to break the cracked wall with your bare hands, and then simply drop the bomb item onto the floor? Please explain this...
Anyway, with these questions resolved I'd be more than happy to add those improvements to the tutorial area for you.
Edit: Okay, having gotten into the map more...there's more redstone stuff I'd like to help with...let me know if this is still a project or not.
I am going to get it I am a big Zelda fan minecraft and Zelda are my two favorite games will have to use texture ender to change texture pack though ether way looks great!
I saw this map on a Youtube video "Let's Play" and I wanted to test it out. I don't know if the creator is still checking this, but he should fix the teleportation bug. I started the main adventure and right after exiting my house, I got teleported right back to the tutorial area. :/ Please fix when you get the chance. I would love to play this map.
hey the reason ppl are not getting saplings from leaves is cause u placed them they hve to be grown from a tree to drop saplings now
Actually the trees don't drop saplings because tiledrops are off, which is why when you break a pot or accidently break a torch, the item doesn't drop.
I would love to see more added to this. I just replayed and beat Link to the Past, and it is still my favorite Zelda game. I would at least like to see it either updated to 1.7 or have a few dark world dungeons. Maybe there can be randomly spawning zombies with armor and speed V, to act as guards. The more though the game, the more powerful the armor and sword.
does it come with a world map? i got lost once and i couldnt find my way back to where i was supposed to go...after half an hour i just restarted the map (which sucked cuz i was like 2 thirds of completing it or something) and if there is can you view it using windows photo viewer? (just asking cuz some images cant be read by it i found...) or do i have to download some fancier thing?
(cant belive im asking this in 2014)
oh, i forgot to add, i actually ventured a bit to close to the edge and lost my way around and the map doesnt show where i am
forgot to explain that!
hey can you or someone email me back on how to get the texture pack for this map, because I copied the link for the texture pack on planet minecraft and it said the link has been deleted, can someone please help me get the texture pack
Hey man I hope your doin alright, Im a huge fan of your map and of a link to the past. Ive picked up the old SNES recently and it got me thinking about this map again. I love your work and I hope the Navy is treating you well. Looking forward to part two.
you should make a different version of the map with the Mine & Battle gear mod, so we can have shields that wouldd help alot, and complete the experience
I would love for an update to this map to come out to use some of the new commands, but i know how long it would take, and as I have no experience in it i will be patient if he ever does update it.

Looks like its not going to get updated, the map crashes when trading, seems like Mojang updated minecraft too much most mcedit features used will no longer work and would require to redo the entire map.
Edit: works fully in 1.8!
I would heavily recommend not using zombie pigmen for common monsters, as well as not using mob spawners. You can get some pretty impossible-to-pass stuff happening, such as the picture below
