I really like this map but I seem to have a problem with it.
For some unknown reasons, my usually 150fps drop to 20-30 when I'm standing in areas with many buildings, such as the spawn... Same thing is happening to me in the newly launched Broville V11 demo while the previous version and Vertoak v11 were totally fine.
I'm thinking of command blocks or perhaps item frames? If by any chance you know what could cause this sudden lag, feel free to help me.
So there are three possible reasons: First: Particles. I've tried to limit torch use, but there are still many hanging around causing problems. This is the least dangerous of the three. Fix: Particles = Minimal Second: Entities. Yes, item frames will slow you down, I've also tried to limit them, but it's much harder. Fix - Render distance? Third: Light rendering. Unfortunately as the city grows, more areas have different light levels and the machine has trouble calculating and updating these. My best suggestion is to turn off smooth lighting, that works the best for me.
I made sure to severely limit command block usage on the overworld map as command blocks cause significant lag.
Optifine can help too, but I've always been against the requirement of mods. Lag has been an ongoing battle for the city and I only recently thought up a few more methods to kill it.
If you REALLY want to do something, a command to kill all the entities would help, but it would severely change the map experience.
question! I have been searching and I still do not know what the creatives are (probably godlike beings) and I still have not found the library. please help possible with pics

Well you won't find a Creative, and there aren't many builds attributed to them, but I can tell you that the Great Library is under the Quartz beach house neighborhood area. The entrance is in the back of one of the buildings.
This is my favorite downloadable map of all time! Thank you sooo much for making this! This is the only fully furnished city of this scale, it is huge and awesome. Great work!

If you also like Vertoak, theres another map "Broville" which I've also had the pleasure of helping create. (A new version of that map is in progress).
Hi, I would like to use this town on my new server and will surely give you credit. Also if you want you could get a rank that only you and your members of you group can get on my server. I will be extremely grateful if you accept.

Well, it depends. The first time I found that book I was playing in Creative, so I was like... oh. I'm a creative.
Whats the scale of this city to like Broville or another one.

Vertoak is much larger than Broville V10, however there is a new Broville (That I've also helped a little with) that will surpass Vertoak's map size.
I also want to keep the map within a certain size limit (<100mb) so It will never get TOO big (though 100mb is a lot of minecraft mapage).
Suggestions (if they are still open):A space needle-like thing, A board-walk/amusement park and a summer camp.
Also is it %100 safe to download?
There is a board-walk completed for a future version.
I promise it is 100% safe to download, and will work as long as you don't use a minecraft version less than 1.7.2
Thats fine with me, you can go ahead!
