*Update* We currently have two designs that we are working on and we need your help to decide which one we should continue to work on. A few things need to be kept in mind:
1. Both maps are still in their infantile state, and are no where close to completion.
2. One map was started before 1.5 and booster rails, the second map was started after so the designs are completely different.
Please just take one second of your time to vote, it would be much appreciated. Also, even if you vote, please feel free to post which one you voted for in this thread and I will tally up the votes in a week or so and make a decision on which map we shall continue to construct.
I am currently working on building what will hopefully be a fairly elaborate subway system. What I was thinking for this is that I would build all the tracks and what not, but have each stop be built by a community member. I would like to get some feedback before I delve too far into this.
Each stop will have a small station with access to ground level. I do not plan on making these fancy at all, it will be up to whoever builds at the spot to decorate the station.
With the massive support I have gotten for this map, it has taken off into something much greater than what I had originally imagined. We now have a server running for this to be a multiplayer map. Unfortunately, the server has a dynamic IP, but I will do my best (along with Sabinno) to keep everyone that has been white-listed up to speed with the IP.
If you would like to build something at one of the stops and want it incorporated into later versions, please fill out the form below.
If you do not fill out the form, you will not be white-listed for the server
What is your IGN?: What do you plan to build?: How much space do you think this will take up?: Why should we choose you?:
Progress (not going to use percents since this can be continuously added upon)
Grand station - I've got the foundation going, and it splits off to different areas with tracks. There is an information stand which gives details on track location and other info I deem important.
Green Line - This is mostly at ground level, with a few underground tunnels. Currently has two tracks. One track has two stops, the other is just the starting area. Boosters on Track 1 will take you to Stops 1 and 2. Stop 1 has a booster that will take you back or continue forward.
Yellow Line - This is an above ground skyline system. It also has two tracks.
Red Line - Same concept as the green line, however I have yet to start working on the tracks.
Blue Line - This will be completely underground, with only the stations having access to above ground
If you wish to support this map you can use this super awesome banner made by Nico.
Projects being worked on/completed projects/other honorable shout outs:
Nico - Created the banner!
Sabinno - Server host. Together we managed to build a very complex minecart auto dispenser and refiller. Has helped lay down tracks as well as fix some faulty redstone wiring.
SergeantBalthazar - Currently working on building a downtown area where the spawn will be.
Mabus627 - Showed me a new (to me) type of minecart booster that will work 99% of the time.
If you feel that I have forgotten to add you to this list or misrepresented your contributions in any way, please let me know, and I will be sure to add/fix what I have wrong.
Some shots of what I have done so far:

Yeah, sure, if you want to work on the red or blue lines, I can PM you the download. Are you good with redstone, like creating an automated booster system and underground redstone wiring that can change a turn in the track?

Well, I was thinking you could pm me the map and I can make a server, and from there I can make what you want while we both work on it, then I can send you the map back after we're done.
If he gets a server up i would gladly help you out, in both laying the tracks and building a station.
If you want, I can send you the map and you can build. And it's not limited to building a station, that's optional if you want, but what I was thinking people would do is build crazy structures/statues and then it would become like a gallery/museum kinda thing. The station is just if you want your stop to be fancy
That would work fine. I'm a bit of a "large" structure enthusiast...
Great! The bigger the better, right?
Anyways...I PMed you the link so go ahead and take the Green Line - Track 1to any of the stops. Build whatever you want and send me the new version :smile.gif:.

Alright sounds like a plan.

Hamachi is a private network thing, so basically you connect to my network, and when your connected to my network its private. From there you connect to my server from minecraft. Then we play. Sorry for the comma splicing above. ^ If you want to download it, heres the link.

That would be great. Do you have the ability to whitelist, because for the time being I would like to let only a select few people work on building the tracks before opening it up for people to build actual buildings
