...no. WorldEdit still edits terrain. I have no idea what you're talking about.
The terrain features are gone in the single player commands version, and I cant be bothered to set up an entire server dedicated to making a map. Knowing my skills at file management, I'll do something silly like accidentally discarding all of the commands. (It's happened)
So is anyone else perplexed by the reaction to witches in a lot of the inferno mine LPs? They are fairly tough, granted, but you can't be double poisoned and you have enough time to smack them down before it ticks your health down to dangerous levels.
Right now the response, for the most part, seems to be - get poisoned, immediately run, cry box ( usually in range of a sill active spawner), wait for the poison to wear off, regen, go back out, repeat. It works eventually but it's maybe not the best way to deal.
A better response might be - Get poisoned, take a few hits while you put down a torch or do something else useful, retreat, cry box, regen.
There's just a chunk of time in there where the poison hasn't had time to completely deplete your health yet and you can still get something done that isn't getting taken advantage of. I've noticed something similar with cave spiders, actually. Sometimes I see someone get poisoned at almost full life with decent gear, run from one or two spiders they could have killed before their health got ticked down to half a heart, and then get killed when the spiders catch up after the poison has had a chance to work. It's not exactly frustrating, just perplexing.
TLDR: Poison isn't the same as direct damage and should call for different tactics, don't you think?
I asked him that during a rosie stream a while ago. His response was that the tool might be super good but he's happy with MCEdit and doesn't want to have to copy the map around, since you can't run SPC and VS simultaniously (english, y u has so complicated words... owait, I speak German. Derp :P)
More on topic, a few different things. Would the remake or actual version of BD2 be BD2, 2? or BD3? And does anyone/Vechs himself know if it would be in the same monster-hunting style, or would it be more similar to BD1?
He hasn't discontinued BD2. He started making a sequel to BD2, and due to many things, he scrapped that particular copy of the map and is working on a new BD2. You can play the version of the map that he stopped working on.

In general, I would agree with you, especially when it comes to cave spiders, but witches are different. If you get poisoned, instead of continuing to throw poison potions at you, they'll start throwing instant damage potions. At this point, you're slowed and weakened, and so you can't really stand and get pelted with damage potion after damage potion. Those things ignore armor and hit for 3 hearts. Standing and fighting against more than one is really a death sentence for most people.

I have always found it easier when attacking cave spiders or witches to just flat out attack them. This may sound pretty newbie but it actually works for me most of the time. If there are more then two witches/ more then four cave spiders I simple fire arrows until they drop down to more reasonable numbers. If a bow is not available then I would just run away until they despawn and then try again and hope for the best.

Final note, is there a way to make witches throw specific potions at you? Like I would want witches to only throw blindness potions and speed potions at you. It's fair because your're fast AND blind.

It's actually a random rotation based on distance - The witch doesn't know if you are poisoned or not and throws slowness only when you are at range / weakness only when you are close. Still the point is a good one, almost half the potions they are throwing at you will be harm potions.
They do start drinking health potions instead if you damage them though, making it fairly easy to lock down one long enough to kill it without it firing off potions. They can also drink fire resist potions, this might make fire aspect / flame weapons seem less useful, but it actually stops them from throwing damage potions for a few seconds while you wail on them with your sword or get in another bow shot. Pretty useful

Wait, wait... are you saying that he's stopped development overall on the monster-hunter version of BD2 i.e. the Open Beta he has running now?
ಠ_ಠ No. I posted (quite detailed) specifics about what potions witches throw from the wiki for a reason. If you're at least 8 blocks away, they throw a potion of slowness. If you have 8+ health and are not poisoned, they poison you. if You're within 3 blocks of them and do not have weakness, they throw weakness ~25% of the time.
If they don't meet the conditions to throw a specific potion, they pelt you with damage poisons. They aren't random, the Witch actually has really sophisticated combat AI compared to most other mobs. If you happen to be more than 3 blocks and less than 8 blocks away, Witches also go into Nuke The Player mode, because their programming tells them not to throw weakness or slowness potions- meaning they'll start with poison, wait for you to go down to 7.5 or less hearts, and then use nothing but damage potions.
When fighting close-quarters with witches, I found it to be worthwhile to smack all of them once, burst the nearest witch down, and then repeat the process. Causing every witch you're fighting to stop chucking potions everywhere for a couple seconds is worth adding to the lifespan of the witch you're killing at that exact moment. That can be tricky business though, I'd only suggest engaging CQC with witches if you can't pick them off from range for whatever reason.
LPers, how do you know or find things to talk about while you're recording? Is it just something that comes natural to you, or do you have to work at it at all? I've considered making LP series of different games before (not just SH or minecraft) but when I try to talk out loud to myself as though I were making a video, I just keep lapsing into silence as I lose my train of thought or focus on the game.
I usually either try to comment on what I'm doing as a strategy, my plans/expectations, basically whatever's going through my head. If you run out of thoughts, then talk about the gameplay itself, what you think of the map, etc. You can use stories and jokes as a last resort if you really don't have anything to say at all.

Except that it's actually quite bad and requires use of MCedit, where as VS is incredibly versatile and almost never messes up.
I never said that WorldEdit is superior to MCedit or VoxelSniper (though VS requires you to set up a server, which is a pain.. bleh), I simply responding to comment that stated that WorldEdit's terrain editing features had been removed. They hadn't. Stop putting words in my mouth.
Would anyone be interested in a true ROMhack map? I'm thinking very hard about if it would be worth the time. Also, anyone know how air spawners would work?

"True ROMhack"? As in something like Mini Hostile: Ragequit Holidays? If so, would it be a full length map? I'd love to see a full map with that sort of difficulty.

and this is why we cant have custom potions for witches.

Like that, but with a different style. Actual traps, parkours with difficult obstacles, such as air spawners, block spawners, and Ghasts and blazes, and possibly a wool hidden from sight. Also, I wanted to make a small cinematic ending, of course adding a disclaimer to have all other wool before entering the area. Yes, it would be a full-length map, and it might turn into a series of the ROMhack genre.
Sorry, I just compared it to RH. There will be actual dungeons. There.
