Well, they all burned all right, but that's mainly due to me having brought Wildfire in. There are still ~100-150 spawners left, but I have a path iton Intersection 4. I still have to finish up Intersection 3 first, though. I am predicting:
The Nest: Silverfish
Frozen Venom: Ice, Cave Spiders
Also, is there a shortcut from intersection 4 back to intersection 2, or will I have to keep going through
We All Burn and Helix Caverns
every time I want to get some supplies?
There's a shortcut to Intersection 02 via way of Upper Deathshallow, it's fairly easy to find.
I’m up for the challenge 100% will be recording my progress as well, just wanted to know would it be seen as “fair” to play the map on a snapshot (or another version) that the map wasn’t released for, due to content. But I may just roll with it, I was going to start with Sea Of Flame but may just chuck myself in the deep end :L
If you mean Joe hills that would be exciting to see him do the map on Hardcore, just to hear what he has to say under the pressure!
Thanks for the reply
I didn't ask joe to do WU in hardcore, I asked him about TTR versus Pantheon.
Does anyone know how exactly the Resistance Potion effect is calculated? I'm guessing 25% damage reduction per level since resistance 4 makes you immune to all physical damage (that meas basically everthing except poison/wither, right?)
Ok, so I "beat" Ragequit Holidays. I use the term "beat" because I didn't really do it legit.
The first line has all the bloody parkour. Which with my laggy computer, my FPS rate, and my general badness at parkour, I can't really do that well. So I used a combo of "restarting" using fly hacks and just restarting with save files to get through that area. I only flew when I fell though. I did not use it to bypass the parkour. It was just a "restart" thing.
I did do the second part legit, and I used the chest/torch trick to run past the ghast area, but I did that part legit too.
So question: Can I count this as a win? Or do I still get disqualified because I used "save points?"

That's what I was thinking...however, I've seen people saying that making saves of Lethamyr isn't cheating...hence my confusion. I never used flying to bypass anything, just to go back to where I fell from.
It's not as clear cut as someone saying "Hey guize, can I use teh gun mod?" since there seems to be multiple different schools of thought on the subject of saves.

I believe there has been an official statement. Usually people accept it when you make a backup in lethamyr after you got a wool,a nd only then, but since ragequit holidays is so short and gets easier as you progress (First area is hard, seconds is usually easy but can screw you over if you have to jump to skeletons, third can be outrun completely, and the middle section isn't that hard either)

I agree with this, if you get most of the wool in Lethamyr and you die, you have to start over the map that probably takes 30 hours to beat because of travel time, so on ridiculously long maps, you should be able to use save points, but you might get shunned. On a map like ragequit holidays though, is utterly and pitifully unacceptable.
Today we dive deeper into Deathshallow Ruins! We also start a new school, adding onto the 3 basic classes, Zistonian, Cleothian, and Hillian. The LOLian class! We make unsafe bridges, go around the edge of caves, and most importantly, say "PACHANG" when using Enerpearls, to improve the landing when using them.

Ok. I see the point. Since Ragequit is so short, whereas lethamyr is gigantic, it makes sense. My badness at parkour shall make me never complete the map then. That first part....impossible for a laggy computer.

UNACCEPTABLE!!!Apparently the topic now is ragequit holidays.I still love you Delthyn...
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Every bloody CTM map series boasts that it's bigger, longer, and harder than other CTM series. It's almost as if it's a **** measuring contest. (bigger, longer, harder...)
Okay, some early poking around with new anvils! The bottom three iron blocks are now just ingots, which drops the crafting cost quite a bit. You can repair with only the material of the item now (along with exp levels, of course) but using another of that item is cheaper in exp levels to perform. For example; I have an iron pickaxe near breaking with Efficiency II and Unbreaking III, using 3 iron ingots and 22 exp levels will repair it almost to full. If I use a slightly damaged iron pickaxe, however, it only costs 15 levels and repairs it to full.
Exp costs are *far* more reasonable now, and you can use the repair function on normal items for barely any exp at all (only a couple levels, and an ingot or two). Combining two well-enchanted items is a lot more reasonable in price as well.
Overall, the new anvils are cheaper to make and use, let you do minor repairs on items instead of waiting until they're about to break to do a huge repair, and you can micromanage your resources for better efficiency when using the anvil.
I'm waiting for a world editor to come out for 1.4. I'm already using the snapshots to make a test world.
Mcedit works perfectly fine on the snapshots, some new items and blocks might be labeled as unknown though, but as long as have a dqta value list oepn in the background when working with these, it shouldn't be a problem.
Also, an idea djess and I discussed: is there an item (some technical block, or maybe a nonexistet one) that is completely invisible whwn you hold it in your hand? You could then enchant that to wield pure magic. I tried block 36, but that's greyish...
Lack of skill contributes to my failure at Ragequit Holidays (which I will try again some time. It's that first area that screws me up.), but I'm running on a crap-top that's pretty bad with MC. I'm lucky to get 30 FPS. Even with Optifine.
wither skiley in the nether breach it is now inpossible
Believe me, it was harder before. Just remeber, the adventure update made the map much easier. And wither skeles are melee AND three blocks high. That allows for many killing strategies that you couldn't use on skeles, mostly making atwo high area and lure then to you.
Unless you are talking about sunburn. THAT should be too hard now, though in a way also too easy.(after all I find wither skeles easier to kill because they have more trouble hitting you - having a smite sword will help you massively, and after you finished some iff, you might be able to get a beacon (that sounds like a good strategy for legendary, because the nether has no ceiling. You might want to fix that, Vechs.
Also, daily reminder to remind TTR about TTR.

Chest torch is legit, save states not.

Meh... Did you use optifine?

awesomedecent computer now.I've also never tried Ragequit Holidays... I could do it if I could get past the dark section probably.
The new recipe is:
Lava blocks being iron blocks and iron ingots as iron ingots.
Also, repairing picks with materials repairs about 30%?
That's just what I've seen.

There are invisible ladders, but they only block about (maybe) 25% of the block area.
