Why the hell did you change the difficulties? Nightmare realm should stay as romhack hard, not medium!
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
So I was working on this really cool resource pack a while ago, but bad progress nonwithstanding, I think I found something much better... I'm probably gonna never release another custom Minecraft map.Until we meet again...
The blackened library, bookcase maze, wool spotted, moved towards, you sneaky *******.
Hehe, my reply :smile.gif:
No kidding :sleep.gif: I went to the middle and heard the funky noise of those Blaze's D: Died a few times and lost alot. After the library was ruined, I lost many items, and was frustrated I just ran for it. Destroyed the spawner and walked away in pride with my orange wool :smile.gif:
Advice-
Make two boats. Put one in a chest and another in your inventory. *Make sure you have a spawn around the library!* Before doing this light up enough of the library to keep it pretty safe. When on the level of the spawner run and just destroy it. If there are non spawned place the boat near the edge in the middle. Push it to the edge and when it falls right click it. When your 5,10 blocks away from falling right click again to fall out. From there break the glass and go from there
3. Super Docile was simply just milking your audience for what you can... if people want a normal world there is an amazing thing called "Survial Single Player" and requires no map download!
Just dont think im mega hating on you... Im just in a pissed of mood right now
i'll admit, the mines seemed lazy. but i loved black heart and the crypt. my only complaint was that the crypt was too hard; i had to search all over the place to find the wools because they were just hidden randomly in there.
and super docile isnt a random minecraft map; it was made to be like a SH while being docile. thus SUPER DOCILE. a super hostile that isnt hostile. *sighs* seriously, read the names sometimes.
and if you arent playing to have fun, dont complain. seriously, i believe ive seen vechs say several times to PLAY HOW YOU WANT TO PLAY! although outside he tries to make you think he just wants you to die (in a fire) he actually does care what the players think; to be completely honest, gaming is, in essence, to ENTERTAIN. if you arent happy playing, go away.
as you said, im not hating or anything... but seriously, some things just shouldnt be complained about. if you dont like docile, dont play it. its fairly simple... i feel the same way about the hostile trails, i dont see how it is even possible because of the size of the map. i played on creative and SEARCHED and took almost an hour and a half to find the place your suppose to go!

Really? The mines were actually my favorite place in a Vechs map ever! I don't know why, but something about running through there in armor, dodging spiders, and getting to mine (and explode) tons of iron was just really fun. Not being sarcastic, that was the best place ever.
Everybody has a different opinion. Some people might not even like Vechs' maps. But the mines were definitely not "lazy". I'm sure Vechs spends a lot of time on each place, planning it out, and small does not mean lazy. Those mines were pretty small, but they were very difficult, and they were very unique.
Anyway, that's my 2 cents. Take of it what you will but leave some for me because I want some money.
Vechs... two things
1. Stop complaining about Endless Deep... if your a good map maker you can make a good map out of the tools youve got... Be Creative! cant be worse than Nightmare realm. the one dungeon you took the time to make was a blast and i loved it.
2. At the end off SH10. you. got. lazy. Rattlebone Crypts probably took about 10 minuets to make and is VERY grindy (asin i only played for the goals. not for fun) Skittering Mines is Tiny and Lazy... Black Heart Citadel was the only half decent place on Intersection Three... (and even that, red was LAZY AS BALLS)
#rant
OH! Is your CTM map any better?
What? you didn't make one!
Shut the hell up, when you make something as good as SH10, then you can whine and complain about how lazy it is. Until then, shut up, and stop complaining.

Loved Hills of Moo! As a really crap player I can't even get started on your other maps like Spellbound Caves - (5 restart whole map and hundreds of deaths before I ragequit) so enjoyed being able to do a 'VechsMap'. Really good fun, love your sense of humour and evilness. I have been learning to be a better player and at least can fight mobs now. Getting the diamonds had me beat though...
...I battled mobs for hours in the pyramid, poured lava, dug tunnels, would find the odd chest with mainly no diamonds...
...so in the end cheated by switching to peaceful, and STILL couldn't find the diamonds! Found a spoiler in this thread and found them at last. Fantastic game, has kept me occupied for a week. Sorry about the cheating.
In this episode we start of by hailing Ric- Bjayan, talking about some sad news regarding my 100th video special then hop into the action. Third intersection time baby! Spine forest here we come, hope y'all enjoy.
Subscribe for future videos, we are going for completion of all of Vechz evil maps!
I really don't know why everybody hates on Nightmare Realm. I thought it was an excellent map, and the lack of lava or water made it live up to its "ROMhack Hard" difficulty rating. The environments were creative and aesthetically pleasing, and there were no major flaws with the map. All in all, I really enjoyed playing Nightmare Realm and I don't think people give it enough credit. That's just my opinion. :smile.gif:
Does anybody know how to get the nether working in legendary on smp? I'm running a bukkit server.
If your in 1.7, I can't help.
But if you are in 1.1 (the last version I saw it do this) when you put the map folder in there for the first time and run the server, it should pop up with a message saying that it moved the nether and end files to their respective places.
Single player worlds store nether and end in DIM-1 and DIM-2 folders in the world folder, so if you could copy the contents of those into the world_nether folder you might be able to get it to work.
Quick question to all you veterans- How do you do it?
I have seen some series where people barely die! I know I am not the greatest player, especially with lag on my side, but I can usually accomplish alot. Do you guys run down the map a few times to get the feeling? Spend more time preparing and taking brakes from the adventure?
So far I have been playing "SpellBound Caves". Should I do more farming, building, and such? So far I have been more concerned on racing to the wool and retrieving my items fallen from death.
Some tips would be pretty cool. This is my first map from Vech's collction as I am no expert at these kind of things.
I'm a classical pianist (hey, you have a very diverse fanbase) and as I was backstage at a concert I was playing at tonight, I all of a sudden became very nervous. Then, I thought to myself, "Vechs hates me and he wants me to die", and then I felt better. I don't know why I wanted to share this; I guess I just wanted people to get all emotional and cry tell Vechs this.

Hey~ :wink.gif:
I can't call myself a veteran, but I've been playing Legendary for a while and began SpellBound Caves last month. I'll just add my two cents here.
I am probably a little biased because I got into those maps after watching Guude and BdoubleO taking on Legendary. Consequently, I have kind of acquired their style of playing, but adapted it to a little more preparation before running berserk into every area.
Basically, as soon as you get enough resourses, begin a little wheat and wood farms. And farm a lot. Work to expand them, make them efficient, gather lots of resources. With a wood farm, it's no problem making lots of tools and mining stone and coal (if avaliable) profusely. Later on, when you're taking on a very tough area, it'll be a huge turn of to have to stop and farm more resources so you can continue on.
Another tip -altough I think everyone does that- is to set a little base in every intersection. Usually my bases are small and made without putting much thought on it, getting bigger and carrying more resources graduately as I advance in the game.
Well, that's basically my strategy. Nothing fancy, really. :biggrin.gif:
Oh, and since you're taking on Spellbound Caves, here's a tip~! Use and abuse of enchantments. Even low level enchantments for your swords are a huge help!

I can't really say why, but I found that just completely awesome. :biggrin.gif: Is there any place you post yourself playing, sir? I'm a piano lover and enthusiast, it's always nice to get good music shared.

Actually on skittering mines it took me a while to rig up all the TNT...
But sure, let me refund your money.
...
Okay, there you go. Full refund of the purchase price. :smile.gif:

You may post or advertise any maps or videos here that have something to do with the CTM genre.
:smile.gif:
Good luck!
I think you'll regret that...
You just lost the game.
