I have a question myself. This is my first time playing any version of Sea of Flames, and I found the area with the VM. What I'm wondering is, are those pathways the intended, main routes to the other areas? Or are those other areas places that you could just as feasibly reach by exploring the surface, without having even found the VM?
Honestly, if those paths lead into places that I could easily reach on the surface, then I think it would be more fun for me to find them up there rather than to kick back and ride the luxury express.
One of the 2 destinations (The Cathedral of the Suidae) is reachable from the surface.
The other is a large underground cavern so the only way there is the rail tunnel.
I'm a big fan of Vechs maps.. This is the only reason I've made an account here; To post my pic of the completed Kaizo Caverns Monument (the one updated for 1.0)
Thanks for all the hard work updating the map Vechs... All the changes were great improvements to an already compelling map.
Honestly I don't see why it's not rated as Hard after the spider dungeon. I think Vechs was trolling about the difficulty. So far I'm finding Legendary to be easier.
Oh, Legendary is MUCH easier than SoFII. It's a lot bigger, and takes longer to beat, but boy is it a whole lot easier.

Since 99% of the surface of the map is covered in lava, there are dungeons you cannot reach from the surface. Its been a while since I've played SoF II but I spent a lot of time there and I'm fairly certain the dungeons you reach from the "luxury express" can only be reached from those routes.
Don't worry though, being able to get to them easily is one thing, conquering them is another!
I strongly believe that the minimap is pretty much impossible without using backups. I will not believe you finished this map without making any sort of backups, except if you make a video of you doing the entire map without any sort of cuts. $5 if you do that.
Yeah.
Screenshots of the VM are good enough for the other maps since you can pretty much derp and die your way through and eventually win.
This map though... if you want anyone to actually believe that you won legitimately then you will need to post an unedited video.
Progress on Ragequit Holidays.
Deaths: 2
Wools: 0
Furthest I've gotten: The 2'nd jump after the 3 high bedrock wall...
Yeah, I suck at Parkour challenges...
On the other hand, doing well in Infernal Sky II. Getting ready for the best part of the map: The assault on the Ghost Town. Vechs, you really should make a whole map based around it. That would be awesome. Bonus points for no deaths yet. Last time there were 4, this time so far none, though came very close once. (Pro tip: Half-slabs for bridging is not a good idea.)

Really? I honestly think Legendary is much more difficult. Sea of Flame II is actually really broken if you know what you're doing, especially with the 2.0 update.
Vechs provides diamonds right after you find the VM. While, yes, this should be irrelevant since you need iron/diamond to mine it, Vechs does a nice job of providing the best pick you will probably ever get in the fourth dungeon. In 2.0, it has efficiency V, unbreaking IV, and fortune III. I actually ended up with over three and a half stacks of diamonds before getting three wools in my most recent run. Craft some diamond armor and tools, enchant them all, then just soak up all the damage. It's what I've been doing and so far I've got everything except light gray, cyan, red, and black wools (black and red wools should always be the last wools to collect for me) and have had a grand total of 0 deaths (as far as I remember - might've had one or two before I got the diamonds) and only had to leave one dungeon (Rageshadow citadel or whatever - forgot torch supplies).
Legendary, on the other hand, was a roller coaster of difficulty with a large, final spike at the end. Usually the larger areas were diluted enough to not actually be too much of a threat but also near-impossible to light (for non-zombie pigmen, that is) and the smaller dungeons were where difficulty spiked due to close-quarter high spawner density combat. The addition of iron was balanced by that dungeon at the bottom of peaceful lake with the thousands of fun boxes, and diamond was so late-game that the threat had already passed well beyond whatever benefits it could provide. Sure, you could try and rush your way to the iron and diamonds and go back to get the other stuff after, but you'd have to be completely out of your mind to make your way through peaceful lake and beyond with nothing but stone/wood tools and leather armor.

You just wasted -insert arbitrary number + measurement of time here- reading this.
Hey Vechs I decided to give RageQuit Holidays a go, it would be awesome if you watched it as i don't have a fan base :smile.gif:

Wow, good job. You really needed to quote that?
You are kidding me right? Seriously? Holy Fu-
Holy crap, don't quote the first post! XD
... But seriously, be a friend and zap that quote, would ya?

Yeah, ROMHack hard is supposed to be hard, to the point where it might get frustratingly un-fun.
