Ok im really getting mad. I have followed the instructions down to the letter 6 times. And yet i still get a black screen when trying to open minecraft after closing it all down. and yes i deleted the meta-INF

Are you in minecraft version 1.5_01? If you are in 1.3.1, it will not work...
my jar is 1.3.1 and it works im confused maybe my aramis version is older anyways get 1.5_01 then
You can run the map with 1.3.1, but you will have no quests, A LOT of bugs, no NPC's, no quests, no rumors, no new mobs, no new items, only the map structure which will have a lot of biome bugs, like random ice blocks in the middle of map, frozen oceans, a lot of cities would be full of snow, etc.
Map must be run with minecraft 1.5_01, also, re-install the map when you have the modpack already installed with the version of minecraft mentioned before. Otherwise, you will have the same map as you were running in minecraft 1.3.1 (with all the bugs and stuff)
after i installed the mods and map my version turned from 1.3.1 to 1.5_01 so im fine might be more bugs then should be have no idea have gotten too far to reinstall and i dont really need to i might try that later after i go through the few last cities and see if that fixes bugs
i think it will be just the plain map without mods wont have quest books original texture pack original monsters but the map is still awesome
Yes! Just yes! Port this map to multiplayer, it so huge, quests, detailed, it would be almost like Skyrim online, a dream for most of us RPG players.

Actually no, at start that was the idea, just the map structure, but i've been evaluating things and I can easily say that map will have quests (already working on modifying them and even adding new ones), NPC's, new texture pack and rumors .
Of course, not the 250 quests probably like 100 quests.
Also I have to say, map structure in the upcoming version will be upgraded, fixing cities with bad looking structures like Minecity or some parts of Skidrow or Snowville, little details that make map even better .
Only thing that is not returning are the new items and some of the mobs map added since those require mods, but expect new NPC's
FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU but the pictures look interesting invisibility would be great for survival games
The thing that I'm most excited about is the script block, looks so awesome, they already released it in snapshots, but can wait until they release it in an official version, also, you will not be able to display your armor and items at walls, looks epic.
I have been working on v0.6 since august 14th (4 days ago), until now I have done:
Added NPC's to Minecity, Skidrow and Botternil
Modified a huge list of quests (very huge)
Modified a very huge list of structures and cities
Finished texture pack (just need to implement the Aramis Main Menu)
Added new quests like:
Mutilation House Part 1 and 2
Mother of Mercy Sword
Ancient Armor
Enchanted Bow
Wild cats
Extinction
Trapped
Cementery Curse
and A LOT of other quests (soon I'll post at the first page a list with all the quests in the map)
Added a lot of new dungeons
Removed some very stupid easter eggs
Fixed some grammar errors
Signs are not anymore written in caps (yeah, had to rewrite all the signs...)
Removed some quests
Added a new enemies spawning system, it will be a little different than Aramis v0.5
Added and improved map decoration, now walls have new paintings, castles have flags, shields and swords, bars have wines, dungeons have blood, etc!
Fixed A LOT of bugs with map because of the port from 1,5_01 minecraft beta to update 1.3.2 of full game, minecraft has changed a lot since then, so had a lot of problems with biome generation implemented in 1.8, fix all these bugs and problems took a lot of hours.
And some other features I can't remember right now.
