Maybe make a world of dirt, only have the dirt be the very bottom layer, and have the rest be empty, so people can build towers. Then another dirt one, only it's rooms with a dirt floor and dirt ceilings, two high, wight a room right above it. Like this:

For redstone and things that need scaffoldings. Speaking of scaffoldings, A 8x8x8 grid of stone, with ladders on the verticals would be great.

Hmm I already had plans to make a "Bedrock level" map, but your idea of adding "Layers" might be a great idea as well, though it'd take alot of work and be a pain in the butt to remove, unless I did it with wool.
Hmm I thought it was just a glitch but it seems I have forgotten to stack the seeds...Damn that'll be quiet annoying to have to upload all 8 worlds again, I may wait till I have a bigger update.
Well I did a quick mock-up of the "grid" thing I was talking about.
Maybe as a future project but I think the flat open test worlds are good enough for now.
Ya, I was just kind of throwing it out there.
Anyways, what do you plan to do now?
I'm going to disney land!
Kidding aside I plan on focusing on other projects now, till I get more idea's for this one anyway. I still need to work more on my video's and more on my texture pack.
I'd say 5 layers of lava.
Yeah that shouldn't be hard, may take a while to do but its doable, glass ontop or not?

Both, we'd have more options (For people wanting to do a underlava base, and for people who just want the lava for illumination/decoration).

Damn...Oh well, should be simple enough. I'll try to work on it more this weekend.
