well the black part is javas fault and the minus save file is a glitch caused when the player has spent to much time in the nether or in an area with a surplus of lava/bloodstone
well if it is going to be something with dispenser traps I think it should be some sort of tower-defense mini-game thing. Sorta like this:
[] [] [] [] [] [] [] []
[] []
[]
= dispenser full of arrows/snowballs/eggs
Where the player has to stave off the monster invasion until a powered minecart or something opens a door to the way out. To make it more difficult you could have 4-6 rows full of zombies and the room could be given a name like "Arrows vs. Zombies" or something.

Not sure when I'll get around to working on this again. We'll see how good I feel about my marks last semester, because I'm not sure I got straight As on my exams, in which case I'll have to work harder in this coming semester. And I have a full course load... hm. But when I feel motivated again, I'll get back to work. One of the big problems is that I'm having trouble finding a good way to generate a large cave that's 'rounded' properly (dunno how else to word it), instead of having four semi-flat sides. I'll find a way though, I guess.
What is that texture pack? Also, this map doesn't work with 1.2? I loved the first map...
Just played a bit of it. I ended up having to skip the entire NetherBridge part.... Zombie's weren't the only spawns. Kept running into Creepers, Spiders, and Skeletons as well :/ Also, ran into some problems with the Zombie PULL! things. Loved the wall path ones, HATED the first puzzles with you trying to pull them past lava. Challenging, sure, but maybe a bit too much....
As far as the wall puzzles go, at least in the last wall puzzle the spawner room was flooded with spiders, skeletons, and creepers. I note: I made sure I cleared all mods prior to trying this >_>
I found looking outside the future rooms a bit neat. Be careful though, ran into some angry creepers out there XD
hey im on the reed isle i got to the part when u go up the stairs and there are skeletons behind a fence and u have to run to the end i did and there was the exit but there was no other part just the outside of the map is this the end of the map?

Did you use a third party program like a map editor to create this? I just can't imagine creating some of those things completely in game. In particular, the massive cave with all the stalactites. Looks like that would take forever just creating that in game block by block.
Question: how did you get the spawners to spawn stuff besides pigs? Is that something with INVEdit, or is it your own program? (I use SinglePlayerCommands and TooManyItems right now, and neither give you the option to change what spawns from monster spawners. :sad.gif:
Edit: also, amazing job btw. I loved the first map you did, and am looking forward to playing this one when I have time. :biggrin.gif:

It looks awesome, but there is no appdata folder on my computer (windows 7) so am I SOL?
1. Click the windows icon in the bottom left.
2. Go to "computer"
3. In the browser bar (it looks like you would type in a web address, like google.com), type "%appdata%"
4. The first folder in there should be .minecraft
5. And there you go! :biggrin.gif:

Random creeper spawns really **** up the first area, one blew up the chest with the flint and a second one knocked me off the edge after i had picked up all of them, have to re install the map to start again
just finished off the rest of the map and it was great i like it how you improved on the first in the design of your challenges (something i didn't think was possible tbh). Great map looking forward to more content from you mate.

All hail the tail? I guess... I dunno, I just like S&W.
Suicune is awesome BTW.

Since the folder is named 'World4', just change the '4' to another number.
