He posted on his blog that he broke mac support. That is somewhat true, but all you have to do is tweak some java settings and it will work. I just played on my mac a moment ago. For me it broke after I updated my OSX java to "update 4", but by doing this it works fine.
Go to applications>utilities>Java Preferences
In both fields move "Java SE 6" to the top of the list
I have a mac and I'm having problems playing online, I update java just now and it still won't connect. I keep getting message of the servers being down, but my friend who is running windows can play. Any ideas to help?
It's been working for me with regular Java. In order to get OME running, I installed the Java 6 Beta. OME now runs perfectly. Minecraft on the other hand, appears to think Java is not installed.
;_;
EDIT:
I did a manual reinstall of a recent Java Update, and everything is now running perfectly. Minecraft, server, OME, all running great.
I was overjoyed when I saw this thread, but unfortunately it doesn't work for me :sad.gif:
I can look around but I can't move or talk.
The server admin said that the server console showed that I had disconnected, even though I was still in the game and he could see me moving my head.
I've got a 15 inch, Macbook Pro (early 2008). Here are the specifications: http://support.apple.com/kb/SP4
I tried clearing the cache, restarting the computer, using safari instead of firefox - all to no avail.
I just tried single player mode, and its the same story there.
I find that happens to me when I refresh from getting a black screen. Try quitting and reopening your browser, and waiting at the black screen until it loads. (It can take a while, go get yourself a soda.)
The black screen thing used to happen to me, and I used to do exactly what you just said. This is far worse. Its like the entire game is broken - no matter what I try I still can't do anything in game - I can't move, or talk...
I don't want to sound like a winger, and I know Notch has alot of things on his plate, but I was just getting hooked on this awesome game! I bought it recently, and I feel so frustrated that it won't work for me any more... lets hope he fixes it in the next release. Do you know what the development cycle is usually like? Regular or sporadic? It must be damn hard for him to do all he does on his own...

Now it should work!
There is some other thread telling it but I don't know how to. It was something like Shift+Tab or something, maybe Alt+Tab
;_;
