I am new to Minecraft and I wanted to see if I like the game by using the free outdated version. I tried using it but every time I log in and click single player/Multiplayer and this black screen appear, after a few seconds this message appears
Also the answer may be listed on the Mac 101. I know Mac has an inherent Java problem where it makes an endless loop of "please accept this certificate"

Still nothing... I need more suggestions lol This is weird because I tried the game a long time ago (I don't remember when) and it worked so perfect... But I only used it for about an hour so that's why I want to see if that game is for me but I log in fine... If i choose multiplayer different servers appear but then the pop up run thing keeps appearing after i press run and when finally stops ( Does it about 3-4 times) The screen stays black.

Find out if your running 32 bit or 64 bit computer. Delete everything related to minecraft and delete java. Than go on their website and download the 32 bit if your computer is 32 bit, or 64 bit version if your computer is 64 bit.
I click run and the screen turns black and nothing happens. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/45632694/Screen Shot 2011-11-15 at 2.12.47 PM.png
Can someone please tell me how can I fix this...
I am using a Mac OS X
Safari also tried firefox and google crome
Try quitting Safari and re-open it. Then see if it does the same thing.
I tried that and also updated software and cleared cache and some other stuff but nothing seems to work.
