Hi, I am hoping someone can help me. A group of about 6 friends including myself have been playing Minecraft for about a week on one of those friend's servers, a Windows machine . I am running Minecraft on a Mac with Lion. When I first started playing the game, the first 2 days I could play on his server all day and all night. Yesterday I tried changing my skin by replacing the char.png file and messed it up. So after that I completely deleted all traces of Minecraft and reinstalled it. After that I tried connecting to his server while everbody else was playing and my login crashed his server. So eventually we figured out that if he deleted all of my info on his server I could log in and start playing. The problem is that after about 20 minutes, according to him, my data fills up and crashes the game. He can then delete my data and I can start playing again, although with a very laggy game. This does not happen to anyone else who plays on that server, just me. He has banned me until we can figure out what's going on. I just deleted Minecraft again and reinstalled it and have found I can log on to other servers I found on the internet, no problem, but not his.
Someone please help! I just logged into his server while everyone else was playing and in about 3 minutes it crashed. What is different about me versus all the other players?
FYI: We solved this problem, sorta. It turns out that if you delete a character's files the area where there house was will become corrupt. Everytime I started, I walked straight to my house and the game would crash. Eventually we figured out that that chunk became corrupted and anybody who goes there will crash the game. The admin plans to use a map editor to make things right again. BTW, thanks a lot for nothing, useless forum!
I agree that it is his issue, but how do we fix it?
