How do you think about overly made game series such as Super Mario bros, CoD, sonic, etc.
I know it is related to popularity. It was great first few times, but then new series came out in new platform. It gets repetitive and boring. So, how do you think?
Why should anyone care? If you think it's repetitive, don't buy it. Some people like certain games, and would like to see the same mechanics used again in a new game, with better technology, new features, and new levels/challenges.

Um, that's not the question but okay. I think CoD isn't really as respective as some games. One off the top of my head if Mario, but that's because I am too tired to think.

B-but they're so awesome! There's even a new game coming soon which uses some of GTA's mehcanics, which sounds insanely awesome to me. Also, I'm really nostalgic about them. D:
They're repetitive, but why would you change it? People like a game for a reason, and when a sequel comes out, they want to play a game similar to the last (probably.) If the next Call of Duty were to become a strategy game or a tactical squad-based shooter, I guarantee that most of the fans would stop buying it.

I didn't mean to change genre of the game completely. What I want to complain about was same character with same mechanic.

... They're games using toys. I don't like them.
I agree with sports game. Besides minor sports, racing games are become kinda boring.
