Sometimes members cannot view a topic where they have posted in because the topic was moved into an area where they don't have permission to, or just because moving topics has some glitches to it. I cannot click on topics that have been moved (minecarts). Without getting an error notice. So hopefully this answers your problem
That topic has been deleted for breaking the forum rules, that's why you can not access it anymore.
Is it possible to say "This topic is deleted because it broke forum rules."? I was confused why until I read your post. Is it possible or an IP.Board limitation?

It just the default message that is given. Their isn't really a reason why the admins need to change it.
And when a thread is removed that doesn't break the forum rules? Then the message is highly misleading.
This can be future idea for when forums is moved to new software.
Ideally, allow an moderator/administrator to put a reason upon hiding (can just simply copy and paste the rule broken). Instead always the same generic reason.
As for deletion, just redirect to the same each message. The generic message for those can be as follow example: The following thread you are attempting to view no longer exists. Possible reasons for this are, but not limited to, violation of forum rules, redundancy or no longer desired.
Just a idea tossed up. Keeps the but, if, why, how questions swatted down. Especially for those with curiosity that is stronger then that of a cat. An as it goes, Curiosity killed the cat, but how does it affect those with higher curiosity? I am sure they want to know what happened, so they can ensure they may not repeat the same fate if need be.

We already do that when hiding topics but it's for other mods and it would violate the privacy between the OP and the staff.

I prefer that one to be perfectly honest.

You lost me on that one. Who curious about what to avoid what happening again? o_O
Comments in bold because I'm too lazy at the moment to mess around with splitting quotes.

Basically people who are want to know "reason" and maybe ensure they themselves do not ever make that mistake as they saw an example, if they saw.
Kinda just ignore that part tbh. Idiocy thinking on my behalf perhaps.
Perhaps true on the privacy part. Maybe just change the hidden topic permission message too, but Hidden or Deleted error messages both should be more descriptive, but come up with a unique static message for them.
When I open it, it says:
"Sorry, we couldn't find that!"
You don't have permission to view this topic.
Is it because of my age (almost 13), or because no one can see it?
Can someone please look at my post on that topic (1st or 2nd page), and see if it's there, or if there's something strange with it?

Given it caused a thread titled this to appear in Forum Discussion.
Perhaps the time and reason is needed to start doing such for threads now.
Just a suggestion perhaps to think about.
Leads to less confusion in the end, and allows others to know what and why.

Venit, quessit, induravit.

Now I understand!
But MineMeet is an awesome idea. What's the problem?

This.
No... I didn't see a similar website before.
Mods, are you kidding me?
