I'm obviously late to the game here, but I wish that bookmarked threads would have come over in some form...even if the thread URLs of my bookmarks had just been emailed to me - that would have sufficed.
Now I wish I'd done here what I do with most forums and just bookmarked threads within my browser...but since the old software had a built in feature for bookmarks I figured I should use it. I regret that now.
Regardless, I appreciate the effort being put into converting over as much as possible.
i’ll put this random stacktrace here, to have a place to check back to see if the max-height for code-tags is finally reimplemented.
just add the css rule “max-height: 30em” to the selector “pre.prettyprint” to make this bearable.

bookmarked topics didn’t get converted into subscriptions. at least give os a dump of whar we had bookmarked so we can redo this manually!
the thread title of suscribed topics should link to the first unread post in the respective topic
greater/lower-than-characters aren’t replaced by >/< in old messages, so old messages can contain arbitray html, inlcuding <script>s!
You also can't quote posts from the topic review.
I would also prefer keeping quotes when quoting someone.
Smilies need better codes, you cant do a large amount of text smilies anymore.
Caves and other objects in the background(like the mushrooms) are positioned at the bottom of the page, instead of near the top.
This is intentional, I'm sure. The top and bottom of the page are fixed. The top because nothing is above it, and the bottom where the content ends.
Everything in between is variable, dependant on how long the posts are and your own settings for how many threads/posts appear on a page.
The background pictures can be set for the top and bottom because they are constant, but for the variable middle a repeating texture is used (or in the case of IE, no middle or bottom texture at all.)
I wouldn't rule out some texture being created that could variably fill in the middle, but that would take time and resources, and implementation would eat at bandwidth, and we have enough complaints on how slow the site runs.

A little variety would be nice, though. Maybe throw some ores into the repeating texture instead of just stone blocks. Obviously you would need to keep the stem of the pattern fairly small to avoid a substantial increase in loading time and bandwidth.

My other account is basically gone. I have the password and i merged it with my curse account, but then i DELETED my curse account and i cant log in anymore. It says my minecraft forums account is already merged, even though the account on curse is gone. Ive tried multiple things to fix this and nothing works. Any help?
I'm not sure what you're trying to do by stating the obvious, but the surface cave pictures in the background are clearly ment to be put on top of the repeating stone pattern near the "surface", and the top of the page body.
At first, the caves were meant to be at the top, but there was input on the testing forums that they should be down the bottom.
And they look much better there too.

Except they all have dirt in the background, and the surface caves(only appear sonetimes, when it's no the alternative cave design with repeating dirt and a very small and dark patch of grass) have bright grass and holes to the surface at the top. Oh, and mushrooms that float that are currently growing within stone blocks where there isn't even any space for them to be, instead of at the surface. Both cave versions are messed up when put at the bottom, but that one makes it really obvious. So they should either be moved up, or edited to not have dirt and grass in them.
To be honest, i have no idea what you are talking about, caves in minecraft do have dirt in them you know?
The only problem i see is the single bit of grass, which is negligible.

I'm talking about the really bright green grass that stands out a lot, the hole to the surface that is lightnened by sunlight even though it's at the bottom of the page, and the mushroom that is floating inside of a stone block.
It doesn't look bright to me. Of course I only get a quick look of it while the page is loading, then it moves to the bottom of the page and gets hidden behind the main part of the forum with posts and stuff. I can only see up to one block away from the upper most torches on each side.

...Except the alternative cave pictures(the ones that were the reason why i complaiend about this, as i stated twice) that appear randomly are further to the sides, so that they're allways visible. And yes, the greass is just as bright as that at the top of the page.
Why are you even arguing about this? It's obvious that ALL cave variants are designed to be at the top of the page, though it's not as obvious with some.
You're probably seeing something I'm not. It's all stone all the way to the caves at the bottom for me.
Are they supposed to be random? They always look the same to me.
Edit: Here are some pics at 75% zoom:

Here's a pic from my shitty Windows XP (which usually handles the forum's features pretty well.) The background fades to black for some reason with no caves.
Sometimes these caves appear, and sometimes other ones do. The reason why I even posted about it in the first place is that these other ones are surface caves, with bright grass and even a mushroom that's supposed to be on the surface.
That might be my problem. I never get any different caves.

I have a drafts folder in my Private Messages but I can't seem to find the save-to-drafts button anywhere. I guess the folder has been migrated from phpBB but IPB lacks the feature of saving posts/PMs which I honestly miss quite a lot.
Please add some kind of way to save posts or at least PMs as a draft. Thanks!
This statement helps us not at all. And you joined today. Did you have an account on the old forums, did you know them at all?
Curse is working through all the issues they find, and we're keeping track of aesthetic changes people want to see, so that changes can be made when Curse is ready to do so. What do you hate? Why do you hate it? What would you do differently? Post that tell us these things give us some direction. Telling us you "hate" them doesn't help us improve them.

LWK, i know you guys don't wanna tell us exactly what you are doing, for security reasons, but is there some kinda way you can tell us what you are fixing or improving at the moment?
It would be nice to see the work being put in, instead of it all being behind closed doors.

It is impossible for me to change my password or email address. I always get the message that my password is incorrect no matter what I do. I know for a fact I am using the right password because I can log in just fine.
