Why is that all the sudden more and more people are requesting for mods and/or addons for console Minecraft even if it is against the PlayStation's and XBox's terms of use? I believe people should stop requesting mods and addons for console Minecraft if it will NEVER be added to console Minecraft due to copyrights and related issues.
Sadly that would not stop the requests, however, I can lock the threads and point them to a single thread if need be. I can't promise I will see every thread but I'll try to keep an eye out when reviewing the forum boards.
I moved this to the Forum Discussion section as this is about the Section forum posts compared to actually discussing the Game itself.
We're letting a stone miner be the gatekeeper of speech now?
"Stone Miner" or not has nothing to do with it.
Discussing Console mods has always been disallowed. This goes back to the announcement of Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition. Before the "Better Together" update came out Microsoft announced the possibility of mods on their console at E3 in 2016.
Members have always been encouraging to search the section where they are posting in to try and avoid threads covering duplicate topics. This stance has not changed.
What the OP is referring to at the time this thread was created was the number of threads that myself and my staff had missed.
I'll iterate again
That members will never be outright banned for posting these topics.
Maybe block or remove this post then? We are clearly discussing mods
Discussing rules or issues that people see with the forums (the OP brought this up as an issue of users breaking forum rules and a suggestion to temporarily ban them, which won't happen unless they repeatedly break rules) is different from than actually discussing modifying consoles. The point of this section is specifically to talk about things like rules and other items related to how this forum works.
As such this thread can remain open as long as constructive discussion can occur, although we might have already reached that point in this particular thread. Kiori would be the one to make that call.

Banning for simply requesting is ridiculous. I'm not sure why this comes up as frequently as it does, but it's like suspending someone's drivers license for a single speeding ticket. Frivolous. Warnings are already issued and further action taken as required.
If you haven't noticed, people do not know how to read rules.

I'm sorry, I thought it will help them stop requesting for mods or addons (temporary ban for few weeks).
