Whenever I edit a post or a message that includes quotes, the vertical space following the quote seems to increase with every edit, unless I go through the whole message while editing to remove all extra spaces. This only seems to affect the space after the quote, not before it.
NOTE: I'm using Firefox, and have also used Google Chrome; the OS doesn't seem to matter, as this has been happening with Linux, Windows, and Mac.
This happens with me a lot as well. I just go in and take out the extra space. It doesn't take long. But I'm with you that I wish it wouldn't happen to begin with. No idea what causes it either. :\
I was pretty close to making a thread about this myself. It's pretty annoying and it butchers the pretty format you made in a very long post. I miss the olden forum days.

Yeah, that guy in the avatar is me. I'm *that* strange. It happens. Sometimes people act like that. Just go with it. I can offer help with suggestions even before you post them - NOT make your suggestions - but help you with them.
I agree, it's annoying. I don't normally type very long posts, but I can see how those extra spaces would destroy that beautiful format you worked hard to maintain.
