Today we have rolled out an update to the forum that provides a responsive layout, what that means is we now officially support browsing the website through devices such as mobile phones and tablets: when you're browsing from one of these devices the forum layout will adjust to provide a greatly improved experience.
If you have found any bugs with this update or general feedback to give us please use this thread.
So far it isn't bad but I would like a separation between pinned threads and non pinned threads like the desktop version of the forums has. I think a narrow bar would work on the mobile platform as well.
I took a look at it on my phone, and it is very nice.
I think background like the one we have on the desktop site would make it look even better
Also, on the desktop site, if the ads are blocked/gone for signed-in-users, it automatically moves everything to make the page look normal without ads. But on the mobile site, I wasn't logged in so there was supposed to be an ad below the first post, but the ads are blocked on my firewall and there was a giant space between the first post and the rest of the replies.
P.S. Does this make moderating possible on mobile? Or does it still need to be done from the desktop

I've looked into that, I couldn't find a way to moderate from the mobile version, but that's a discussion probably best brought up elsewhere. I think it's more general user friendly than Moderator friendly... Lol
One small bug I notice, is when I'm viewing desktop, and switch to mobile at the bottom of the screen, it doesn't want to stay in mobile version. It might flash to mobile view for a second, but back to desktop looking view with an option at the bottom for the desktop view. When this happens, you can't pinch in or out (zoom) on the page unless you click it back to desktop view intentionally.
edit: after some additional fiddling, the site doesn't quite like to stay in mobile view in general... At least from my experience. Btw, I am reporting from an iPhone user's view/experience.

It works seamlessly on my Android device and stays in the mobile view at all times.
Overall, I'm quite satisfied with the mobile version of the site and I do like the layout.
It does look good and I'm sure that it's mighty useful for some, but honestly I'm too used to the desktop version to use the mobile now. The desktop works fine for me, so I'm gonna stick with it unless someone(s) can persuade me otherwise.
First thing I noticed was a lack of the time of the last post in the topic list which is incredibly useful on the desktop site. Other than that I don't really have any complaints.
I'm using a Kindle Fire 2nd Gen tablet. It shows desktop view in one orientation and mobile in the other, EVEN WHEN I REQUEST DESKTOP VIEW. I WANT desktop view (colors! BBCode editor!) but for some reason can't get it to show.
No offense to the mobile team, but I prefer to be able to use both the features, and the editor. At this point, I cannot.
Oh!
There are also ads in the middle of the posts! I am logged in! This is, as far as I know, not supposed to be happening!

I tried it out this earlier on my phone and it looks great.

I love you. Finally, this is a reality
