Before you exit page, I am NOT a Newbie. I am an experienced Roleplayer.
First let me introduce myself. I am PCookie13. I've been RPing for a few years and originally was a member of the Spore Forums Community(Sporum). As soon as I started enjoying the community and creating a few successful RPs, it was already in steady decline. It’s pretty much dead so I knew I needed to come here to satisfy my RP cravings. I hope to meet new people and lead a successful new RP on this thriving Forum. With that being said, I present you with “Age of Humanity: Tribal Era.”
I hope to make this a series if it is successful. Tribal Era first, then Ancient-Classical Era, Medieval-Renaissance, Age of Empires, and I’m not sure after that. This RP will be about humanity from the ancient days of tribes, to beyond. It will tell a story of how we all came to be. But not on Earth. There will be humans and everything else that existed on earth, but sort of an alternate universe.
Tribal Era: Start with up to 3 villages.
In this RP, you will be controlling a tribe in a location on the map. You must expand your villages through buildings and explore the unknown. Increase technological knowledge through researching different technologies. With your tribe’s great expansion comes a need for expanded military forces. Train your brave warriors to defend your tribe’s borders in the name of your own religion! Or set sail across the sea to raid seaside villages, stealing wealth and technological secrets! Anything is possible in the Tribal Era!

This is the Tribal Age, not anything past that. Examine the tech tree and try to think of what tribes would really be like. Yes they can talk and trade, but writing does not exist, nor does Bronze working or Iron yet. That will come in the Ancient-Classical Era. By the end of the RP, your people should have a pretty good understanding of tribal technologies and be entering the literal nation phase. These listed are examples, basically the major techs, the prerequisites, and what would be possible through researching them. Some of the technologies you will acquire are completely unique, custom created, and that’s fine as long as they are not super advanced for the time period.
Techs- Start with Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, and Pottery, minimum. You can be more advanced but remember to not god mod. You can't have Horsemen, Archers, and Masonry all at the start because it would give you a huge advantage. You need to be realistic. A tribe’s techs are more or less advanced depending on their location and situations.
Agriculture(Farms) -->Hunting/Gathering(Hunting Camps) --> Archery/Projectiles(Archer)
Fishing(Harbors) -->Sailing (Boats/War Ships)
Animal Husbandry(Farm Animals etc)--> Mobility and Caravans(Horses/Camels, Trade Caravans)-->Horseback Riding (Horseman/Camel Rider)
Pottery-->Mysticism--> Art-->Religion (Shrine)
Mining (Mines/Gold/Silver/Precious Gems)-->Masonry/Construction/Architecture(Custom buildings)--> Weaponry(Custom military units)
(List other important techs)
List: Tribe Name and history of tribe
Tech level
Population (200 Max at start)
Villages (List up to 3, populations, and important facts)
Chieftain Name and biography/government
Location on map: Label yourself or ask me to update specific areas of your choice. *Preferably ask me to keep map from upload corruptions. List a color for your tribe.
Major resources: The more, the richer and more successful your tribe is. Be reasonable with starting amounts. *These are not the only resources found around your villages, just the most important and tradable. (Stone, Lumber, Fish, Crustaceans, Fruits, Vegetables, Wheat, Furs, Ivory, Horses, Cattle, Camels, Farm Animals, Silver, Gold, Clay, precious gems (list any) etc)
Culture: (remember techs must be discovered for certain things. etc so only handful of basic facts needed)
Military: List one basic melee unit, one basic ranged unit, and one elite melee unit minimum. Describe the appearance and equipment used by these units. Please list the numbers of soldiers of each category your tribe has. You can list any extra custom units but they must be realistically created. Upon researching Horseback riding, list one horse or camel unit. You list the resources used to supply the military and the training they are receiving. To train soldiers, list the progress each post in a progress list. Wealth is NOT used for military units because it limits creativity a lot. However, keep in mind your population when making military sizes. Your village cannot function when you have half your villagers being soldiers unless it’s some sort of militia where they won’t be too effective anyways.
Example: Clubman, Archer, Elite Warrior
Settlers- 3 wealth per 10 villagers (sent somewhere to start a new village). You need to list all the resources being used to construct the new village in the process list.
Buildings: Buildings are essential for the growth of your tribe. They are the building blocks of expansion. Be reasonable and limiting in construction rate of these. Make sure you have the resources necessary.
You start with a Village Center and granary minimum in each beginning village. You can decide the other ones you start with but be sure to keep in mind your technologies and resources.
Defaults (At minimum)
Village Center- (Start with in beginning villages)
Granary- Food held here.
Barracks- Military garrisons and such in a city. Supplies and soldiers here.
Monument- Constructed for a village's glory.
Shrine- Place for mysticism and/or complex religion.
Archery Range- Train soldiers to use bows and arrows.
Trading Center- Trade with other tribes in a location that can be placed anywhere.
Workshop- Invent new things and produce tools, material, and such.
Harbor- For fishing and constructing boats.
Walls- Surround a village with extra protection.
Stable- Raise Horses and Camels
Mine- Mine for valuables like stone and gold
Camp- Hunt in the wilderness
Farm- Farms feed your people and raise animals for materials.
The buildings with prices above are ones that are specifically created in the borders of villages. Other mines, camps, etc can be built in territory outside of your villages that is still your territory.
You can construct small military outposts anywhere out of the village borders.
Ideologies: List at least one way others will know you as (Friendly, Aggressive, Neutral, Isolationist, Expansionist, Territorial, Peaceful, etc)
Progress lists look like this: Resources:
Wood (High)
Stone (Medium)
Fruits (Low)
Meat (Medium)
Berries (Low)
Resources that don't matter don't need to be listed in every post.
You can include whatever else is worthy of being recorded here. This helps a lot with organization.
Balance is key in this RP. No God modding will be tolerated. Your tribe will either excel in one category and be weak in another, or be all around.
Here's the map with tribes

Yeah I left for a while and then came back hoping that the errors would be fixed..They weren't. Then a week ago I checked back in at the sporum and noticed nobody had posted since like 4/23. I have no idea what happened. Everyone around the same time stopped. I couldn't even log in.
I don't imagine EAxis is going to fix that. The Sporum's been going down hill for a while and for the rare occasions I tried to log in for something I got hit in the face by log-in errors similar to what everyone's getting hit with now. Doesn't surprise me. And I guess BB managed to hang on until the end.
Anywho, some of us are here. At least the civ/nation building crowd. Though, folks like Mihndar and Veoline had disappeared; still got contact with the former though. Otherwise, faces from PoW like Gorgen, Vilage, and I are about.
PoW's rolling still. But that's not fantasy world.
I think there were a few made by those in the PoW-clique but I'm not sure of their fate. As well: they're mostly fixed in being in the real world in some fashion. Kings and Caliphs is the medieval PoW alternative if you know how to interpret and play Feudal systems. And then there's End of the World as We know It which is Vilage's post-apoc deal.
Mihndar has also imported his Civilization RP to these forums. But I think he's personally busy with things and hasn't visited often. But if you can go post there to revive it I can contact him on Steam and slap him.
There's also oZode's Kugestahl RP, which as I believe is a 18th century fantasy nation-building venture.
I also have a Races RP. I'm trying to ressurect it and it might be good to have some hardcore's advice (feel free to come to the OOC to throw me a few tips). So it might kill the point on ressurecting Nesondia (although I didn't brought it up here to ruin Nesondia's ressurection. In fact, it would be nice as it was quite decent except for the infamous techupers and it's an intermediate RP, so I would appreciate some competence).
I think I'm gonna throw out the wealth system and just strictly administer people who I think are god modding.
That sheet looks great! Accepted. I'll add you to the map.
EDIT: Are there any specific places you want each village? Like all just scattered in the rainforest? and landlocked? And you should try to add a few sentences of facts for each village. too.
Sorry, that was a grammatical mistake. I meant "history of tribe." So basically list a bunch of facts about your tribe's past. And no, it's not OP at all! That's perfectly fine. If you have good starting techs then try to make your tribe less proficient in other areas like population, military, or amount of villages. Remember to be descriptive about your villages and have the correct buildings in them that go along with your resources. And please be descriptive in telling me where to post your locations of your villages on the map.
Xyaspa: A tribe created fifty years ago by wandering nomads in the Savannah and Jungle of the largest island. These people have light olive shaded skin. People here slowly but steadily grew in population due to no rivalry with other tribes. Xyaspans learned how to thrive in Savannah, Jungle, and river. They are constantly trying to learn more about the world and what exists in it. They have domesticated Cattle, Farm animals, and Horses, but have no knowledge of using them for anything other than food.
Xyagon-Population of 80 and located furthest west on the Savannah. It is the main capital village where the big decisions are made by the chiefs of all three villages. The Cattle are raised here as well as other animals so it’s the main meat producing village. Also the largest village in economic and population terms. Hunting, farming, fishing, and stone mining are all sources of income here, but Cattle are the signature export of the village.
Ignalite-Population of 45 and located in the Jungle furthest south. People here know how to work in the jungle as well as on the savannah. The people use the jungle in very resourceful ways to get the full benefits of the terrain, such as harvesting fruits, getting wood, and learning to climb and swim. The river located on this village leads to the mountains where no Xyaspan is prohibited to go. Men are trained here to be stealthy and agile. Even though Xyagon is the most populated village, Ignalite has the best warriors.
Leafetqi-Population of 35 and located on the ocean coastline furthest north. The people here are the most exploratory and creative. Almost everyone here fishes to survive, making it necessary to get protection from warriors of the other two villages. Leafetqi is known especially for its cool breezy temperatures compared to the other villages. Getaways of people in other villages are taken here, making it the hotspot of the tribe. Besides fish, crustaceans are harvested. The river flows west, making it possible to travel to Xyagon in a number of hours by raft. This is valuable for sending goods down the river such as fish. The river is really calm but steadily flows far past Xyagon into a giant lake in the middle with abundant resources that haven’t been harvested by Xyaspans ever before.
Chieftain Name: Bahreifl- A tall and fast 24 year old man from Xyagon. He’s resourceful and intelligent. He grew up with his father being the chief before him and his mother being a skilled farmer. His family is well known but he doesn’t view himself as superior. The government of the tribe is equal power for each village, and one chieftain per village with the superior chief in Xyagon. People in the tribe are treated equally, but anyone who commits a crime is forced to work somewhat as a slave, doing the most dangerous and disgusting jobs. The main laws promote peace and harmony. War is a legendary event, one where killing isn’t taboo. You must become ritually purified to become a soldier and only chiefs can permit you to be purified. No slave can be purified. Bahreifl makes the most important decisions. There is no voting, just discussions and agreements. If two villages agree to an idea but one opposes, they work it out. They don’t just say too bad. Disagreements are met with compromise, usually in the form of resources or protection in return for cooperation. Soldiers are ordered by the chiefs to defend each village as if it were their own and protect each villager in spite of risks.
Location on map:
Major Resources: Cattle, Horses, vegetables, fruits, stone, lumber, crustaceans
Culture: Very resourceful people, each of the three villages value their own traditions and situations a lot. Every few years there is a huge fair held in each village to celebrate the tribe’s success. People can rotate between each village to learn about and celebrate the cultures of each individual village while appreciating the entire tribe together in happiness. Most celebrations involve food. As said above, the traditions are taken seriously, especially when honor is involved like with soldiers. Peace is highly important but warriors are vigorously trained so that if war does come, they will be ready. The amount of soldiers isn’t significant though, which could harm the tribe a lot in the future. Plus, there is a lot of potential in the tribe to expand which could be taken as a threat by others who know that pillaging the villages would bring in valuable resources. Exploration is an important goal of the tribe.
Military: Colors of military clothing determine prestige in honor and village society. They go dark green, gold, black, and then purple respectively. Purple is the hardest dye to gather since it is only obtained from crushing certain sea clams and many other steps.
Xyagooon Warrior: (40) The most basic warrior in the Xyaspan tribe. Most commonly called a Xyagooon. This soldier carries a club, either made of wood or stone. Also, they usually have a small canteen made of bone if they are operating in dry areas outside the jungle and away from rivers. The canteen goes in a tight pocket on the side of the most basic warrior uniform. It is a cloth shirt and shorts, both dyed a dark green shade with light brown around the edges. This symbolizes the rank of the warrior as low compared to others. These are the most significant.
Igza Slinger: (19) All that the tribe has been able to successfully invent thus far for range is the Slinger. Often called “Igza” which is slang for “Swing” because of the swinging of the slinger. Special slings are crafted with tough leathery cloth material and objects are swung around to eventually be launched at great speed. Mainly rocks are launched. However corral has been tried, as well as poisonous plants and even chunks of dead as wrappings to rocks. They wear thin gold uniforms that allow great bodily flexibility so nothing gets in the way. Slingers always stay back or near other kinds of soldiers to provide support, never facing foes head on by themselves.
Thunder Warrior: (14) The elite warriors of the tribe. They are the largest, strongest men and wear high quality, purple uniforms. They have soft outside layers with hard mildly protective insides. This makes it so that the uniforms get tattered easily on the outside which is a good thing because it shows that the Thunder Warriors are ferocious and brave warriors. New uniforms are made often. Thunder is thought to scare the water out of the sky, so the warriors believe they should be extremely loud and mighty too. Due to the high prestige of the Thunder Warrior, rare obsidian stone is carved sharp and used as a small dagger type of tool. It’s kept in a side pocket and used for a variety of tasks from combat to cutting fruits and vegetables for food. Thunder Warriors usually carry large spears made of thick tough wood. They are extremely sharp and cut into symbolic designs such as animals or something they personally like. Spears are never thrown right away unless it would be the best decision. Individuals become attached to their spears and don’t want lose them. There are purple dyed spots on the spears where the warriors’ hands go. Decorative feathers, animal parts, and bits of corral are inserted into the back ends of the spear. If a spear is ever broken or heavily damaged, it must be burned. A new one is crafted afterwards unless the warrior died or showed great dishonor in combat. Fathers have a goal to pass down their spears to their sons to use ONLY during training. It inspires the children of the fathers to be great warriors like their dads by practicing with a spear that’s seen glorious battles of many kinds. At age 18 the Thunder Warriors are ritually accepted if they prove their skills, and they get to design their own spears.
73 in all for starting military size.
Buildings: All made of wood, stone, mud, and cloth.
Xyagon:
Village Center (large government place for all 3 villages to meet)
Granary
Barracks (small training arena)
Trading Center (small area on the edge of the village)
Farms
Workshop (A lot of tools, goods, and weapons are constructed here)
Ignalite:
Village Center (Small local meeting place for village leaders)
Granary
Trading Center (Decent size and in the middle of the village)
Leafetqi:
Village Center (Small local meeting place for village leaders)
Granary
Harbor (Very small, fishing boats and cargo boats held here, often trade is done here)
Ideologies:
Peaceful isolationist citizens, territorial expansionist warriors and chiefs. Mainly aggressive to others who try to say they are better warriors, but depends on the situation.
Grishwall- Grishwall is the largest village of the tribe containing 60 villagers. It was the first Village raised by Cheiftan Gormaka and is the center of the Linola family line. The people of Grishwall were originally people who lived near the volcano at the tip of the main island. Although the people who live here are very happy, they are only limited to what they specify in. A few families are able to do agriculture while others can mine into the mountain which over shadows their peaceful village. Having most of their food being either vegtables they harvest or the fish that the village Likonana gathers, they often dry out their food and leave it in the food storage facility.
Likonana- Likonana is the second village formed by Cheiftan Gormaka and contains 40 people. It is located at the top the mountain which over shadows Grishwall at the very edge of the lake. It is a calm city which is mostly filled by fisherman who supply much of the other two villages with fresh meat. Their people were sent to the top of the mountain since that was where the people of Grishaw had first seen water that was not the ocean and assumed that there would be fish there. They were right and found fish which migrated from the ocean up the mountain and to the lake for breeding. This happens once every three months.
Hakiman- Hakiman was Cheiftan Gormaka's attempt at getting close to the ocean. There is only 30 people living there since it is just now coming into existence but it has so far proven as a smart endeavor. Their placement at the edge of the bay allows for them to also fish but the more often than not rely on villages of Likonana and Grishwall to supply them with their food. Their are the leading city in the development of necessary items for fishing and are at work on trying to figure out sailing. Most of the houses are on stilts due to seasonal flooding.
Chieftain Name and biography/government- Chieftan Gormaka , Chieftan Hikamona, and Chieftan Hasmana of the Linola family. The government is monarichal. Chieftan Gormaka's first son will be the chieftan of Grishwall after Gormaka dies and, being head of the Linola family, his second son will become the Chieftan of Likonana unless challenged by Cheiftan Hikamona's son(or sons) for the position. If any of the Linola family's sons want to be Cheiftan for any of the 3 villages, they will challenge the current leader or, if the current leader is their father, will wait to become heir. They must accept a challenge if it comes forth but can also select a champion for them as does the challenger.
Location on map: Grishwall is at the bottom of the mountain on the island with the central lake, Likonana is at the top of the mountain at the edge of the lake, and Hakiman is at the end of the river in the swamp near the bay of islands. Color dark red.
Major resources: Stone, Fish, Lumber, vegtables, fruit, and tin.
Culture: They are a strong people who base their wealth out of how much work they get done in a day. The villagers of Grishwall, Likonana, and Hakiman are all trained in areas of work which fit them best. A single family usually learns one trade and passes that trade onto their son. If there is no son from the original line of the family, it is up to the daughters to find a husband to continue the family and one of their sons must be trained in the art the family knows best. In Grishwall the families all know how to farm and to mine so there would be no trouble if the season of farming does not bode well for them. Should the fish not be jumping in Likonana, then they will be working on making fishing spears.
Military:
Tomatazma(10)- Tomatazma are the basic warriors of the Griskwa people and mostly come from Grishwall it's self. They use small wooden sticks with a sharpened point.
Karnoak(5)- Karnoak are the basic ranged soldier of the Griskwa people and are mostly very well trained fisherman from Likonana. They use a spear tipped with chipped obsidian(Like native american weapons would sometimes) and tied there by dried flax string.
Omana(3)- Omana is the highest fighter class of the Griskwa people and are trained as one from each village. Omana are only called upon when there is a fight going on between someone of the Linola line and the Linola who is currently Cheiftan of a village. They are trained to fight with their hands, the sharpened sticks of the Tomatazma, and the spears of the Karnoak.
Buildings:
Grishwall- Cheiftan's house(Also major home of the Linola line), Dried food storage, drying racks, farm mine, workshop.
Likonana- Cheiftan's house(Second home of the Linola line), Dried food storage, drying racks, harbor.
Hakiman- Cheiftan's house(Smallest of the homes of the Linola line), dried food storage, drying racks.

Anyways, welcome to the MCF. Some of the MCF RP is still lurking, somewhere.)
My DeviantArt, so sexy
Anywho, some of us are here. At least the civ/nation building crowd. Though, folks like Mihndar and Veoline had disappeared; still got contact with the former though. Otherwise, faces from PoW like Gorgen, Vilage, and I are about.
My DeviantArt, so sexy

That sheet looks great! Accepted. I'll add you to the map.
EDIT: Are there any specific places you want each village? Like all just scattered in the rainforest? and landlocked? And you should try to add a few sentences of facts for each village. too.

Villages: 3

Villages - 3

Alright. I am glad this RP is getting a lot of attention. Mythra is sort of in the exact same place as Griskwa so I had to somewhat split the land up.
