i posted the image from the article, in the first sentence it says the SDGP is supposed to be a FREE UPDATE!
yet when looking around on news for it after a friend told me about it first, it is being listed on gamestop.com and amazon as being a preorder available and costing $10! so which is it? free or paid? and why charge for something that was stated to be free in the first place?
also, when is the release date? my friend said it was supposed to have a november release date, yet according to a youtube source, the date was false and is supposed to be released this month, tomorrow in fact, on dec. 6th!
on top of this, when i was looking at the preorder listing for the xbox one at amazon and gamestop, they list the date as being May 2018! so when is the real release date?!
and finally, i own the java, win10 and ps4 editions of minecraft and the article states that the systems that got the better together update will be getting the SDGP update. however, the ps4 did NOT recieve the minecraft realms portion of the update but we did get the content ie. coarse dirt. so will we be getting the SDGP update or not? my ps4 is a standard ps4 BUT the standard ps4's are HDR enabled, and i have a 4k hdr enabled uhdtv to use it, and since the SDGP is supposed to be for those types of displays and my pc monitor is only a standard vga monitor, i worry that my pc will not be able to get the full use out of the SDGP update, as well as the fact that my pc doesn't have a 4K video card. even if i get the win10 update, it won't look as amazing as it would on my tv! will the standard ps4 even be eligible for the free 4k update since it supports hdr? or do i have to get a ps4 pro?
can anyone here actually answer these questions?
what is the point of having a free 4k update when you have to pay $10 for the dlc to actually use it? i am pretty sure i won't notice much of a difference if i am using the standard or another texture pack!
it has never been stated that the super duper graphics pack will be free and has always been advertised as an optional dlc. If you read the article again you will see that the 'free' aspect is purely for the better together update which includes 4k on xboxX.
regarding release dates it will be available to buy when its available to buy!
according to the offical E3 article on the minecraft site:
