Out of curiosity did you do something to the matchmaking? it seems easier to get people now, before when i created a room it would rarely get more then 3 people now within 5 minutes i got a full room, if so then thank you!
I found a pretty destructuive bug on wii U, occasionally when attempting to leave or create a battle mode room the wii U will completely lock up solid.
EDIT: It's not working at all now, it either locks the wii U or kicks you offline from nintendo network over and over.
At least some are finding people to play. I am using Xbox One and Xbox 360 versions of the game and I got a timeout error all the time I try to find a person to play the mini games. I have Gold and cable speeds and I am able to play any other game online without lags. Is 4J Studios looking into this?
Okay the whole "Teaming up" thing is getting on my nerves and I understand this can't be fixed 100% but if we could add an Team option to battle mode and have dropped weapons so that only other teammates on the same team could pick them up till the player dies, that'll be good for starters. Also have it too that players on the same time can't deal damage to each other. So people on Team red for instance can't harm other team red players but they can harm the opposing teams players.
Anyway here's a video / Clip I recorded earlier where I caught people sharing things with each other and just dazing about. Please don't hate me for it, because simply put, I just wanted to sit down, play some battle mode and relax. Oh and I know I was out but the game was being held up by people who want to daze around all day sadly and we couldn't progress on till the timer happened or if they got bored eventually and decided to knock each other out.
Yeah! We didn't come to Battle to be nice. Keep that in Undertale! A teamed mode would be nice, but the disabling of getting dropped items from others will really help (except if they die of course). Another suggestion I have is the option to disable center chest starting items, so campers and teamers are vunrable. Also as a bonus, it gets rid of tailing other players. Maybe you could customize the center chest contents too (only food, armor, defensive potions, etc.).

Console Battle is two games rolled into one: gambling (whether or not you get one of the OP weapons) and betting (which teammate won't turn on you, since teaming is pretty much a requirement to kill off another team)! Of course, it's not all chance; at its core, Battle is about triumphing and defeating other players... by kicking them out if they win to make yourself feel better.
I completely agree, maps should always be on the bigger version. I have played a few games on big maps when there were 4 or less people at the start and none of those ran out of time, (most did end in the last minute) Even if the timer were to run out I think matches on the big maps are much more enjoyable than the smaller ones. If small maps are not going to be switched out you should at least let people vote on the next map being big or small.

Here's my feedback for improvement of battle mini games.
Host Kicking- Yes, it's a real issue and many say it should be removed, and as you have said, it's the host's game and they should be able to pick who's in their game. That being said, rather than having hosted servers, have independent servers with no host. How will maps be picked you say? Whoever has the most map packs in the server will determine how many maps can be selected. That way, you can be a boss without being kicked.
Teaming- I like it when people try to team up against me, only for me to destroy their team one by one. The trick to handling teamers is that they usually attack one at a time. However, it's still not very fair so my solution to this is teaming servers and non teaming servers. That way solos can play solo and teamers can team. It won't completely fix the problem but it's better than nothing
Maps- I would personally like way bigger maps, you could just increase the time on giant maps so time doesn't run out too quickly like you said. The encounters would be slower but that's what the hunger games is all about!!! A map making system would also be interesting and I'd be fine if I had to pay for an option to do so.
I have a request! 4jstudios can you please add a leaderboard for battle mode. I want to see how many times i lost and won. It will be amazing to see a battle leaderboard. Thanks!
I went to search for a Battle Match. I couldn't join because I was previously kicked . (just for joining). Then, the host exited right when I joined. THEN, the game simply lost connection. 3 searches without finding a match.
Why not add a Flow Search option? If it can't join a specific game, it'll just keep searching. If it can't find any games on the specific categories you chose, you'll be able to change the Battle preferences.
This will finally stop the constant re-searching to find a game, which becomes irritating when it occurs consistently. Thanks for reading :3

Just tried out castle Map and I spawned under the castle with no way to get out. I couldn't even fall off the edge.

This is a good way to solve this problem.
I think this has been patched now, some non-central spawns were glitched, so 4j went in and fixed it.
