So my desktop computer recently went down because of a faulty power supply, and due to my current lack of funds I am unable to purchase a new one at the moment.
Just to describe my situation so I don't sound like an absolute n00b. I currently reside in a 2/bedroom, 1/bathroom apartment. I live with one other person, but I'm the one paying the rent and the bills. I work for Halliburton as a mechanical engineer, so yes, I will be able to fix my desktop soon enough. But with rent, bills, insurance, groceries, gas, and all the other costs that come with living on your own I'm not able to buy new computer parts at the moment.
I have an old Dell laptop that I've been trying to run Minecraft on. And believe it or not, even though it has an integrated graphics card, it actually ran the game, once.
Yes, it actually did run the game ONE time, and surprisingly, it ran very smoothly. But that was about 4 days ago, and it hasn't ran it again ever since then.
The model of the card is: Mobile Intel 945GM Express Chipset Family
The driver version is: 6.14.10.4446
I'm absolutely baffled as to why it would run the game once, and then give me an error message every time I've tried to run it since. If anyone has any suggestions other than "Get a new computer or fix your old one" (I'm trying to do just that) I would love to hear what you have to say.
