i don't think it would work becuase i need this on a 20 ticks per second clock and for lots of players
If lots of players mean like 100 players, use plugins.
If it's like 10, the command should work fine (maybe 10 ticks per second?), assume that I don't make any mistakes on my command.
i have tried to use scoreboard operations but i don't know how to do it
i have a player and an armor stand and i need to check if they have the same score and if they do give the player a tag
this needs work for lots of players and i don't want to use player names

R1: /scoreboard players tag @a[tag=<the tag>] remove <the tag>
C2: /execute @a[score_a_min=1] ~ ~ ~ scoreboard players operation @s b = @s a
