I recently started making mod, though whenever I mine this amethyst it drops itself, why is this?

Sorry, I know you have already gotten this post three times now but when I click 'Show' on the spoilers nothing happens. I have tried refreshing and tried all of them multiple times and can still not see the tutorials inside.
You need to open up eclipse, and then set your workspace to the eclipse folder in MCP
Okay I did that, and in eclipse I open the Client folder and there's the src folder but i can't open that folder and when I made a class file it put it in the default package, net.minecraft.src package isn't there at all.

I don't even know, entities are very messed up right now.
What do you mean export?
I would but entities are a big problematic right now, and that means that bow and arrows will crash the game. I'm working on this though.
What do you mean where do you get it? You make a new class titles mod_*** *** being your mod name.
Swords are bit different, this tutorial is for simple items. Watch theinstitutions videos on youtube. They will show you have to make a new toolset from scratch.
Thanks i got a sword in the game and tools! they all show up and work its just when i reof and but it in my minecraft.jar only the sword shows up? All the pictures for the items are in the same folder and ihave the right path for them to go

as i am extremely new to modding and eclipse and such, i have no idea what this means, alsooo
i created a folder called items in mcp72\eclipse\client\bin which is where the farve4ever26 tutorial said to put it, but everytime i restart
eclipse it has automatically deleted that folder (which has my textures for my mod stuff)
any help on either of these problems is much appreciated

You need to put the getVersion() function into your mod_ class.
Just at .setLightValue(1.0F) in the item initiation, but i'll make sure to add that.
I don't know how to do that, but i'll look into it.

What do you mean? i reof and then i do %appdata% and put it in my .jar with modloader and it loads the sword but not any other items. When i made the mod in ecipse everything worked fine.jus twhen i put it on my minecraft
That's more complicated, but you would have to edit the ItemPickaxe class
I use make my mod without modloader, I did figure out how to add a harvest lvl to it in the ItemPickaxe.class, But how can i do it with modloader so it doesnt effect the main code of minecraft?
I am working on a project where I make the mine craft crafting ideas videos on YouTube into reality.

Why my textures does not work agains in Optifine?
my mod works but when i add OptiFine HD_U_B2 my textures in my mod does not work....
I can't figure it out this...

when you add the block or item you set the light value to 1.0 thats the highes and its the same light as a torch
Actually I believe a torch is lower than that as if I'm not mistaken glowstone has a higher light value than torches.
your right. a torch is 0.9375 but did that help?

I done learning adding a block and now i want to learn adding some function of blocks..
