Ok, first I would suggest making sure that your MCP, ModLoader and minecraft files are all for the same version (1.4.7). Just make sure that you have the latest ModLoader and MCP downloaded and that your minecraft is updated.
If that doesn't help make sure that your minecraft 'bin' and 'resources' folders are completely unmodded, except for the ModLoader files being put in minecraft.jar (with META-INF left in there). Even if it's only been changed through mcpatcher this will still stop it from working properly. To make absolutely sure of this, you can temporarily move the .minecraft folder to your desktop or somewhere and start minecraft to get a completely fresh .minecraft and copy the 'bin' and 'resources' from there. This folder can then be deleted and your original .minecraft put back.
You may also want to make sure that your JDK is installed properly and updated. You could try ensuring that your JRE (The java that you download to run programs) is up to date as well.
Hey snowsquid, not sure if you're still doing tutorials anyore, but just wanted to say thanks for the enchantment tutorial. Also, just to let you know the 'weight' of the enchantment is sort of like how often it will come up for you in an enchantment bench

Another balmy summer evening. The city rolls these nights like loaded dice.
Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, I worked out the use of the weight since that tutorial. I am still doing tutorials, but I haven't got round to it in a while, and the 1.5 update has brought about a number of changes, although I have actually done some more recent tutorial videos to replace the older ones, so I should link to the newer videos, thanks for reminding me.
