when i open the serverstart.bat , it immediatly closes down agian. It says somthing, but you cant read it cus it closes down so fast. I think it says not found. I got the newest version of Java installed. How can i fix this?
The .batch file that flashes on the screen says - "java" it is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file." I believe it is referring to the line of text copy and pasted to create the intial file.
There would appear to be something missing that is required to make this work, likely as a result of an update.
It's easy to do. But some people still need tutorials.
If it is so easy share with us how you did it.
I have done everything as described in the instructions and have the same error as everyone else. The instructions are for an older version of the mod vs the version of MC. I have been trying to get this to work since my last post and nothing and I am not finding any other tutorials that have worked either.
for the Mo' Creatures SMP and Forge SMP files, are these the regular files i can find on the mod's websites? or are these special files? if they're special files i cant find them anywhere
I got the mod to work, some of the instructions are wrong/outdated.
You don't need the batch file, you just need to instal mo's in the mods folder and make sure it is installed on your client correctly. GuiAPI in the Core mods folder and you can even use magic launcher for the other files.
That being said I am not getting the same quantity of creatures on the server as I do in single player. Many of the animals don't spawn at all. The night mobs don't seem to have an issue, it's mostly the friendly and day time mobs that are not spawning. Other than the water creatures, they spawn in over abundance.
Is there a means to edit spawn rates or configure which creatures will spawn? I would like to balance it out.
Hey there.
Well, I've tried both directly installing mo creatures and installing guiAPI, custom mob spawner, etc (as the original mo'creatures threat suggests)
Doesn't matter what I do, I just can't get it to launch, it crashes and the server.jar stops responding. Here's crash report
