hey im confused how you say what the music file is. in the "Example" thing where you said tto put the file would you put file.ogg there? and is there only that one file for the 2 disc? and do you know any mp3 to ogg online converters?
I know this is old but for anyone who stumbles across this now, to change the artist you want to make a copy of ItemRecord and call it ItemRecordAlt or something similar (remember to fix all the errors that will pop up, such as changing "public class ItemRecord extends Item" to "public class ItemRecordAlt extends Item") and then instead of creating a new record by saying
public static final Item musicDisc = new ItemRecord(2003, "Example").setItemName("musicDisc");
you will want it to be
public static final Item musicDisc = new ItemRecordAlt(2003, "Example").setItemName("musicDisc");
note how it is now a new "ItemRecordAlt" rather than just a new "ItemRecord".
Anyway, the last step is to go back to the ItemRecordAlt file, and scroll til you see this:
public void addInformation(ItemStack itemstack, List list)
{
list.add((new StringBuilder()).append("C418 - ").append(recordName).toString());
}
See where it says "list.add((new StringBuilder()).append("C418 - ").append(recordName).toString());"?? Well you want to change the C418 to whatever you want it to show up as. For example, Nirvana or Green Day or whatever. Remember to keep the quotations though.
Do you have to do it in a specific application, or can I just use Notepad? If I can use Notepad, can you post what format all the files have to be in? Thanks!
I need to use Eclipse (recommended) and MCP (required)

Not to sound like a nag, but this works no longer. Everyone stop posting here. Find a new tutorial, one that is updated.
Thanks.

Eons ago, there was only void. Then came the big bang. Voxels colliding with voxels, cubes with cubes. Blocks were forming, each texture unique from the rest. That was when our universe was born.
Hmmm... Does Your Friend Have ModLoader And AudioMod, or Not? :ohmy.gif:
Edit : All my errors and stuff are at :
