As much as I doubt anyone actually reads the newest posts before appying, I am going to say this anyways.
We are about to be moving into the final stages of our first game. This includes finishing the village wall, testing the interior of the village to ensure that nothing can spawn inside, planting and cultivating a massive forest outside the village walls, building a path from the initial spawn point to the village, building a PvP arena a short distance outside the village, and any fine detail work that we want to put into the game before putting this map on a shelf for posterity.
When these tasks are finished we will be moving onto Game 2. In this map we will be using a much more organized structure in order to survive with difficulty on Easy. Using voice communication we will move from Spawn across the map until we find a suitable location to start building a castle and fortress. This will not be an attempt to compete for largest castle on Minecraft, but rather an attempt to make an effective self sufficient fortress, free of any interior spawning and capable of going on full lock down while still allowing everyone inside the ability to continue supplying the keep.
If you are interested in being a part of this constant advancement with a team of tight knit players, please apply and send me a message in game.
Need to fill a couple positions; preferably today. I need a miners assistant and a Woodsman, maybe two of either. Please post an application and message me in game.
Still looking for more people.
As an update on the map, the village is very nearly done. Only a couple of houses remain to be built and they will take little time. The village wall is more than half way complete. The village is well on its way to being lit up entirely. For the most part, this just leaves the forest, the paths through the forest, and the PvP arena to be completed. When it is all complete, we will be moving onto the next game.
I would like more than my four regulars to be moving on with me to Game 2. There is still a couple of days to help contribute and be a part of Game 2 from the very start.
As of now, all that remains is the forest, the paths through the forest, the arena, a couple of houses, and minor detail work. Today was very productive in that the wall is all but finished, including the redstone wiring for the doors. The village was lit up and tested until 30 minutes passed with no spawns encountered.
Not much remains for this map to be declared finished; the only major project remaining is the PvP arena.
This map will be kept for posterity for this reason: this PvP Arena will have its own theme and its own rules. As we continue to develop maps, more Arenas will be built with their own rules and themes. At some point in the future, we will host tournaments and competitions, allowing for one on one combat (until the 16 player/server update) to take place.
The Arena will not be massive, only large enough to allow for some measure of creativity in HOW the kill is made. It is possible that at some point in the future, we will be recording these events and posting them on YouTube for everyone to see. This, however, is still only a possibility and is not even really in the planning stage.
There is still a little time to help progress this map and join us from the very start of the next. Just post an application and send me a message on XBL. I will get back to you immediately when I am online.
Still looking for more people. Only a couple major projects remain, plenty of room for active people to join as well. We have a couple people working some wierd hours and a couple others that will be away for a bit when certain games are released.

Imagine that.
I can't remember exactly, as I have had to remove a few different people. In any case, I am sure I had a good reason for it, I don't like to do things unnecessarily.

Sent a party invite, but XBL is on the fritz. Just join the party and we can talk.
We have added a few more things to the list of 'things to do'.... And completed them. So, the map is pretty much right where it was last night as far as completion goes. We still have to complete the forest, do the path from spawn to the village, and then work on the PvP Arena. Again, there is still a short time to help with Game 1 and be a part of Game 2 from the very beginning.
As things stand right now, we will be entering Game 2 on Monday. Once again, this will be a Fortress themed map with castle walls surrounding a large courtyard.
The aim is not to have a massive structure, but to have the most efficient method of harvesting resources and stocking up supplies that we possibly can, using all methods available to us.
This castle will be technologically baffling; our newest addition to the team, coming at a perfect moment to fill a void recently created, is able to use redstone in a way that I was only starting to think about. Utilizing a multitude of methods for redstone trickery, including 3x3 doors, solid wall hidden doors, disappearing staircases and many other things, this castle may be the beginning of something else entirely.
Also, a seperate project is likely about to begin. This project will be along the lines of a Text RPG, only you actually get to play out the role. Details are to be determined, but I am sure we will be willing to invite a select number of Testers to help us smooth out the bumps in the road. If this does go through, a seperate thread will be started with more information.
