Thank you for the response on here and in the email.
I understood that email return times were most likely not factored into the avg. support times, which is fine.
The answers you sent me were very clear and thank you for the extra time of putting in the examples.
I will be ordering a server from you as soon as I get off from work.
We are very happy to hear that. You should use support tickets in the future for any server problems that may arise as it is a much quicker way to get in contact with us although we are fine with any gateway you choose.
Do you support Bukkit? Do I get a dedicated IP or a subdomain? Do you provide help with setting up lugins? Thanks, Ken.
We support Bukkit and even have it built into our mod installer right into our feature packed panel. Many of our clients have dedicated IP's but sometimes they get backordered and cause delays. It is best to open a support ticket to confirm a dedicated IP is available for you. All of our Gameservers comes with free webhosting. We do provide support with helping setup plugins.

I have taken a service with Volt Host for a server. I uploaded all of my needs & plugins, installed bukkit in seconds (thanks to the control panel) and my server was off. Shooting right into breaking in the server, I began with a load up of all plugins I used. I, next, loaded up a massive build project that includes 19 kingdoms & 6 various road routes between each kingdom. These places were quickly loaded (usually breaking the server on first load with my previous host[RedStone]) with no errors or lag at all! I was surprised at this monumental achievement. I continued my service by taking in the control panel. The custom control panel gives many features, and will not cause lack of compatibility with common control panels such as McMyAdmin. Volt Host has proven to me to hold a strong service backed by dedicated & unbelievable support. Support is free, and never denied with the staff at Volt Host. I'm proudly reserving Volt Host as my number one recommendation for each of their services.
In conclusion, Volt Host is a reliable, and trustworthy host. They excel in every aspect that you want. Great pricing, great support, great speed, great quality, and unimaginable respect! When you host with Volt Host, you are putting your server in the hands of those who have surpassed the competition.
Whether you have a small survival server or a massive roleplay server, Volt is the best choice.

Hi,
Please review your support tickets, I sent in a response ~50 minutes ago, there was a small hiccup with the JVM's being created from your server setup, we applied a temporary work around and will have a full fix completed for you tomorrow morning =)
Just thought I'd point out that we do support 1.8 pre-release on our servers, all you have to do is copy over the minecraft_server.jar file into your server directory and voila! :-)
> I am looking to get the 4094mb deal for $40 is that price for life? or for the first month?
That's for life, even if you upgrade or downgrade the server in the future :-)
> Can i access ftp using filezilla and is it free? can i get acess to all the config files for the plugins?
Yes, you can access all files via FileZilla, you'll just need to create an FTP account in the control panel (which is a quick one step process, and you can create as many accounts as you'd like!)
> Will i be able to upload the craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar file myself?
Yes, simply delete the current minecraft_server.jar file, upload the craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar and rename it to minecraft_server.jar. Alternatively you can just use our updater which will use the latest version from the Bukkit website.
> Is the control pannel easy to use? and can you view the server log and enter commands using it?
Yes, our control panel is probably one of the most extensive and feature packed (as well as easy to use) in the Minecraft industry. It can do everything from editing files, controlling your server, there's a console page (for both entering commands and viewing the console), creating MySQL databases, etc.
> is there a way to view how much cpu and ram you are using in real time?
Yes, you can view current usage (updated live), historical graphs of the past 24 hours and a data table under the "Statistics" page, here's a screenshot of the live page (it updates every ~10 seconds):
> Also i need to have a didecated ip stiaght away do you have a eta when they will be available? and how much will it cost?
We have default ports available right now on Arizona (I believe there's around 8 left now) and we're bringing in another allocation in France within an hour or so as well (so there will be ~16 more there as well).
> i am planning on using around 30-40 plugins will this deal be able to handle it?
I don't see why not, as long as you configure your server correctly.
Just want to say that I started the free trial last night and it runs superbly. I recommend this to anyone for performance and cost. I'd just like to say thank you for such a good host. Will definitely make this my permanent host.
Thanks for the reply I had a look at the control panel and I have to say its the best one I'll seen so far.
I would have liked have the dedicated ips before people join the server and it has to be changed but that's ok.
Also how much cpu do i get? will it be enough because the server hosting company i am with now isnt enough right now.
can I get a refund after a couple of days if I am not happy?
I will consider buying this either when 1.8 is out or by the end of the week :biggrin.gif:
> Thanks for the reply I had a look at the control panel and I have to say its the best one I'll seen so far.
Thank you, we're always developing it as well =)
> Also how much cpu do i get? will it be enough because the server hosting company i am with now isnt enough right now.
We don't limit CPU so you have full access to the whole server CPU. Our system will restart your server however if you start using an amount which will cause instability to other clients on the node (this is known as an Excessive CPU Server Restart). As long as your server is configured correctly, you won't have an issue with this (this is in place to protect our clients from abusive clients who decide to eat up our CPU instead of actually using the server hosting services).
> can I get a refund after a couple of days if I am not happy?
You can request a pro-rated refund into account credit at any time. As for refunds to PayPal / OneBip, no - we do not do refunds, that's why we offer a 7 day free, no-obligation trial to try out our services first, if you don't like it - just walk away from the server, otherwise - simply renew it by topping up your account and pressing the renew button.
If you're interested in a trial just follow the trial signup form in the support section of your control panel.

We can set aside a port for you until Friday, you'll need to open a support ticket for this letting us know what location you're interested in.
Glad to hear you've had a good experience thus far! The slow load times can be somewhat attributed to both the graphical intensive nature of the website and control panel (and the forced SSL which is something that is not common amongst hosts, however we include it for security).
If you have any lag issues, please open up a support ticket, there's usually small tweaks we can make from server to server to increase your performance.
Hopefully we can live up to your expectations in the coming months =)
I have tried to do the Demo Panel, but when I login to the User "Demo" it just redirects me to the page, not the Demo. Help anyone? If I get to look at the Panel, I'll decide if I want to purchase.

The page to login to the demo panel just logs you into our system. To get to the panel itself look in the upper right corner of the website you should see Control Panel and there you will have access to everything once you click it and are logged into the demo account. Let me know if you have further issues.
Anychance of updating to 1.8 pre so I can try out the server?
Edit: I really like the donation feature, that way me and my friends can split the cost! This have def pushed me closer to using you guys. Just waiting for my free 7-day trial to test it out.
Then after that when I purchase a server i put "GETBACK" as the coupon code and it becomes half price for the life of my server?

You can manually update your server by uploading the 1.8 minecraft_jar to the server. We haven't updated our system yet and don't intend to until the final release comes out but you are free to upload it yourself or if you need us to do it that can be arranged. Please remember to delete your world file to avoid any compatibility problems. The GETBACK coupon is active for the life of your server.

It's probably an issue with 1.8, we haven't had any reported issues with disconnects.
