I grow tired of people saying this whenever something goes wrong, especially when the person doing it just so happens to be a part of another hosting company. "You get what you pay for, it's your own fault" -- before I came to brohoster I was paying more than double for supposedly the same kinds of servers. The difference? Me and my friends lagged a lot more often on those servers and with brohoster, we have yet to encounter lag.
If you think I'm trying to sell G7H services here then you are very much mistaken. This has nothing to do with G7H, and I would appreciate it if I could just chat here without automatically being pigeonholed as another host trying to sell their given service.
I watch all the threads on this forum, and I just don't like all the bad comments posted here. Granted, if all is good and well then you tend not to post anything at all. It's only when something explodes that you get out the keyboard and start typing.
I just think that customers should really be more clever about hosting in general. Just ask yourselves why something has been priced that way. The reason half of the people get so much crap thrown at them these days is because they still eat it up because of the dollars they'll save.
I am by no means against what Brohoster does in most respects, but they've grown far too fast and simply don't have the staff to hold up their A++ support which we are so nicely informed about on every page of their website.
So please, when you pay as little as you are right now; and haven't taken the time (and I know most of you have) to shop around, then you must expect the worst.
And yes, it is your fault in most respects.
It's not the tree's fault if you're the one that has crashed into it.
Brohoster.... You banned my account for signing in wrong 5 times... Please urban it JORDANF is the account name I opened a support ticket no one has responded
After upgrading my server from an 8 player tier to a 32 player tier, I have to say my times with brohoster have suddenly changed for the worst. However, according to these forums, that isn't their fault. They need to get the ball rolling quick with SoftLayer. I was planning on launching my server to the public today. I'm glad I chose not to because the server being ultra laggy and down would be an extremely bad first impression. I sent in a ticket:
Ticket Created #386009
Please check it out as soon as you can.
Also, when the hell are these SoftLayer issues going to be fixed? Pretty big deal, you know. High up on there on the priority list.
Sup guys. I'm a bit stressed out. So at least you aren't, I'm going to explain a few things here in this post because it's not my job to check this thread and respond to public issues. I deal with internal affairs on a per-client basis, but this thread gets out of hand with far too many complains that are directed in every way imaginable except to the proper people who can help you.

Please pay attention to when you're logging in. The site clearly states you're unable to sign in for what I recall 15 minutes. This requires no intervention on our part, but if you continue to have a problem outside of these 15 minutes, reset your password, or create a support ticket, don't post here in the thread.
This thread is not a support platform. I'm sorry it's not, but if you want to get down to your issue actually being resolved, this isn't where we sit eager to help you, it's on-site at Brohoster.

This was also resolved within the same day, and I've stated this expectation in each of my replies.
Once again, this is the worst possible place to post this. I can't even help you here in this thread because your description of your problem is so vague I can't do anything to assist you. Is your server up in TCAdmin but you can't log in? These types of cries for help don't actually get you any. We do want to help you, but it requires minimal work on your end as well.
Where do i get my gameserver's ip/port? I want to add the files so i can finally restart my computer
This is the most basic information you receive from purchasing a server from us, and it's provided to you in an email after your payment is verified. If it is not, you need to contact us in a support ticket.
If you have a problem this severe, why are you posting on forums and not contacting us directly?
In conclusion: OPEN A FORMAL SUPPORT TICKET.
I DID
The problem is it's intermittent... when I opened a support ticket, the answer was "it seems to be working now.", which it was. Then it was down. Then back up. Then down. I'll open another ticket.
This was also resolved within the same day, and I've stated this expectation in each of my replies.
I appreciate brohoster's ongoing support, it is one of the reasons I chose to go with them, and I'm glad I did. I'm not blaming brohoster directly (I did say I remember reading it's a SoftLayer issue), I'm just concerned with the situation. Like, is there any kind of deadline to when this fix will come in?
That said, I have to unfortunately tell you that I checked my ticket and it still says "Open", no replies. I checked my server and it's still ****ed. In the chaos of quoting so many people, you may have quoted me entirely on accident, because what you've included alongside my quote is entirely untrue.
For the record, sometimes my server DOES come up, but it is EXTREMELY laggy (with nobody being on and a Gold Tier server), using settings I used previously on an 8 slot server and got no lag, which leads me back to believe it's just another SoftLayer issue.
If it helps any, my console is spammed with "Can't keep up! Did the server time change, or is the server overloaded?", and lag spikes are in excess of 4-5 seconds. Absolute unplayability. Before someone jumps on the bandwagon of blaming plugins, this happens even when NOBODY is online.
My biggest concern is that even if my server were to get fixed directly, when would it just go down again due to SoftLayer. We need to know how it's going over there, what's the situation so far? As it stands, with having Status: Unknown as a constant threat, it's almost like not having service at all.
Thanks for your hard work and understanding regardless.
Nvm, I fixed it. You can remove this ticket. thanks anyway :smile.gif:
There is a button in the ticket itself near the bottom that says something like "If resolved, click here to close the ticket" -- this would probably be the ideal way to do it.
So, Paradox55, if I may. Do you guys have any idea even remotely when the SoftLayer issue will be fixed? Several servers are simply unable to be played, less even able to even start because of this issue. My server is one of them. I am completely unwilling to wait weeks for this to be resolved, so please tell me it will be very soon.
Balls to it, I just ordered one and didn't check the new posts first xd
Anyhow, can any of you help me with what to do next? Please PM me or smth, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

The SoftLayer issue was resolved a few days ago. if you are still having problems then those problems are unrelated to the issue we were having and will need to be addressed in a support ticket.

Then, having sent in my ticket yesterday at about 5PM, it being 7AM now, I'm hoping it will be resolved any minute. I didn't know these issues were already fixed, though. That's actually relieving. Now when my server is fixed I can expect the same solid uptime I was having before I upgraded, that is good news.
Ticket #386009
Hoping for the best! Gonna sleep a bit, if you guys try to get tickets done in 24hrs or less, than I suppose I should be sorted out by the time I wake up. I am, however, disappointed that it was been taking at least 12 hours for a ticket response for pretty much everything, though. I hope you guys double your staff or something, it's kind of ridiculous.
The following are the plans that Brohoster currently provides. We do offer custom quotes, just open a sales ticket. Please be aware that these are not multi-month prices. What we advertise is what you pay, no matter how long you pay for.
Does this mean that I could just have a server up for a few months then stop paying after that?
My issue has been resolved, apparently there was some major issue with the box my server was on. They say this has been fixed and after testing in-game I can say that it is. Who knows, this may have fixed other peoples errors as well.

Besides the recent build up of support tickets and server ordering deals, which I believe was caused by JWJ leaving.
9/10 issues with brohoster are people trying to run too many plugins. Combine that is the issues 1.6 has it looks like they are doing a bad job.
I have a bedrock server with no plugin and 5 people on it with NO problems(besides a rare Cisco related one).

I cant even get on my server now...
I've been getting this on and off for the last 3 days now.
Here's a sum up of a huge fraction of my day.
