Sorry I guess that is kind of misleading - we're running the sale through the 5th of July until 11:59PM - since we got sort of a late start on the day today we're extending it through to tomorrow night.

Okay, excellent! I may be ordering tomorrow, then. Thank you very much for all your help! It's refreshing to have actual communication in regards to your server. :'D
To all of the recent orders - Sorry for the delay guys, I had to make an appearance for 4th of July but I'm back and getting them taken care of now!
I'm happy to report we decided to make the switch :biggrin.gif:
Chose CentOS and downloaded the World file from the old server. I've had some experience with using FTP, so this should work out great. Thanks for your help in making the decision!
I've got a few questions. First, say I use you as a host. Would i just give you my server files, and you host it? And how would I make changes to my server? Finally, would i be able to choose any sub-domain? Thanks.
TheFrostyKillers, So long as your setup will run and perform fine on the Tier you end up purchasing, yes you would simply upload your existing server setup to our system and run it there. You get full root access for SFTP/SSH to add/remove/edit files for your server - you get full control over everything. If you're not familiar with the Linux operating system or using SSH, there may be a slight learning curve for you to be able to administer your setup with us, but it's really not difficult in any way. And yes, you can definitely choose your own subdomain, so long as it is not already in use by another customer.

Thank you very much for the quick response. (The other hosters I'm considering took days, some haven't even responded yet :/) One last question: Do you accept PayPal? If so, I'll be purchasing a server once my money comes through.
I'm sorry you feel this way. We are priced very competitively for the service we offer. We try to encompass more than just minecraft, and offer a Virtual Private Server environment, witch you have total control of. Unfortunately we do not have any beginner or bargain packages at this time. We do however have a shared server in the works.
I must say, VERY nice hoster. I am a newbie to this stuff, and was originally going to have my hoster be Brohoster, until I read some negative reviews, and decided to go with these guys. I am VERY glad I did. My server was ready 5 minutes after I ordered it, and I was helped every step of the way to getting my server up and running. Their customer support helped me minutes after I requested support. A definite 10/10.

apophis3d, thanks so much for the kind words! I'm glad things are going well so far we really do appreciate the recognition for the hard work we put into making sure each customer is happy with their service. :biggrin.gif:
After doing a fair amount of research, I was sure this host was going to be a good place to hang my server's hat for a while. Sadly, that was not the case. Their response time was slow, even when it was their own database server that was down for many hours. They overlooked details in my tickets, like, "please restart my MC server when you get your database server fixed because I have to go to bed now." The responded to my ticket with a canned reply and left my server down.
They were polite always, but failed to do follow-up when they knew I was having issues and therefore were a pretty complete customer-service-fail for me. Throwing more money at them didn't net me any extra consideration. I was Tier 3 (out of 4) by the time I gave up on them as a company, and I did so even after resolving my problem because of their seeming lack of interest in my server. I get the feeling these 2 guys are far too busy to deal with anything outside of normal operation.
Their home page and twitter don't get updated with important info (like current outages), there is no forum to compare notes with others to see if they are being treated well, and every problem I had left me waiting at the other end of a support ticket. Their "blog" references months-old plans for projects they seemingly have given up on (voice servers), and appears to be part of the facade, not an actual communication device. Your mileage may vary, but they were not the host I was looking for and I would be remiss not to relay this experience. I have since found host-happiness; I just wish I didn't have this disappointing detour through minecraft.cm.

I do apologize that you were not happy with our level of service. We take our business very seriously. Our ticket time is always under 2 hours. I do not consider this slow at all. Our business model is based around non managed minecraft servers. Although we will help in almost anyway we can, we will not manage your server for you.
Like every host, minecraft.cm incurs downtime due to hardware failure. We try our best to prevent and plan for all outages. Unfortunately this is something that is never guaranteed beyond 99.99%. In the occasion that their is an outage. All users will be contacted through our ticket system, this ticket system will notify all users at the email address they signed up for service with. We feel this is a better way to make users aware of outages. We feel Twitter, Facebook, and Forums are inappropriate channels of notification.
Package tier does not dictate position in our support queue. I apologize if you were under this assumption.

Also, I am assuming that, seeing as *nix is the server OS, it has Python pre-installed?
