So, people have ideas where Minecon 2014 will be. Question is, where do YOU think it's gonna be? Poll will be open for a while. May the odds be everin your favor.
I think Mojang should let the community vote on the location of MineCon 2014.
The areas people can vote for should be right about in-between largely-populated areas, so lots of people don't have to travel as far.
Usually a lot of people can't go because the location is so far away from them.
I think Philly would be a good place to host Minecon. There are LOTS of places where they can host it. Citizens Bank Park, Eagles Stadium, etc. Also, Philly is a GREAT place. Sometimes I get to vaca there.
Like anything though, people are going to vote on the locations they live near, just how it works. Of course I live in the U.S. and would love for it to be in my home town, not everyone is able to make it. Just like someone who lives in Australia, he will make it but no one else. I think that this year was an ok location against the previous years.
Paris was only french speaking and not everyone knows french. But it did have disney for kids and etc
Vegas, I don't think this was the greatest location. Its a, well lets say kid-teen game. Theres really not much in Vegas except for Casinos.
Orlando, I think this is the best location so far because of the things you can do. They have the disney world theme parks and Universal. You of course also have bush gardens, sea world, and beaches. Millions of people around the world just travel for that, so I can see why they chose it.
Now I don't see why they can't maybe have a mine con tour. although it wouldn't have the same perks as the convention its self (capes, goodie bags etc) it would be free and vista major cities around the world.

That is good thinking. If they let the fans vote on the location, it would be a good place where they all could go, and have relative ease getting there.

Just what I think
Also good thinking. A thing that would work for alot of fans. Maybe they could give out goodie bags with 1 random thing though. A creeper doll, a foam pick, etc. But the cape is the essential piece of Minecon. The goodie bags SHOULD have the cape with the goodie.
Why is "Where I live" not an option here? It's all anyone really wants to vote for.
Because 35% live in sub-urban/rural homes. Rural neighborhoods usually have several miles between each home. Now imagine how long it would take someone in Missouri and have them get to Paris. That would take at LEAST 20 hours. That's also why Summit's idea was really good. People around the world could get to go to Minecon if it's international. if it's not, than at least a whole country will. Who knows, if it happened, it COULD be in your town. Also, what if it was in Africa? Imagine the kids faces light up if they could get in for free. Don't forget, alot of families in Africa are very poor, so it would be a wonderful treat to them.
Antarctica!!!!! I would say in Japan, Australia or how about Sweden.....hmmm the game is from Sweden. NA is already the second time so Sweden would be my wish. Let's all go to Sweden and have a big Party in front of the Mojang HQ.
This is something someone said for the 2013 location. So just a heads up you can expect some biased results.
My opinion: Britain or Germany. They have good places to hold venues and for European and Russian (there is a pretty big fanbase in Russia).
Others:
Russia - European, Asian and Russian (yes I know its in Asia) fans would be able to go.
Australia/Japan - Good for fans that are less likely to get to minecon.
Those in the Northeast US are getting completely ignored, as they chose one of the farthest south cities on the Eastern Seaboard, Orlando, FL, to host this one. Now, since they did technically host one on the East Coast, they probably wont host one near NYC, Boston, Philadelphia, Washington DC, Baltimore, or any other places nearby those for awhile.
aside from that, I think Mojang will probably choose an Asian city, maybe Tokyo, an Australian city, like Sydney, or someplace in Canada of which i have no predictions as of where.

i have no idea what im doing.
I'm up to date on Homestuck if that matters :I
Why isn't Chicago an option? It's in middle of the US, so people from both east and west can travel around the same distance to get there (east being a bit closer) and Canada isn't too far from there. There isn't much conventions in Chicago though. Possibly Sweden for other locations outside north america. Toronto would be my pick for Canada.

I'd say Vancouver. Lots of conventions there.
Sorry, but that falls under "Other cities".
Wanna see small? Check out Reading, PA.
But I know Harrisburgh is small, but I think Philly would be a better place to host Minecon.
Sorry! Didn't think of Vancouver. But you can vote "Other City" for Vancouver!

Does it really matter?
You can vote "Other City" for Sydney!
