I'm still waiting for the bugfix that will allow me to play 1.6 instead of getting "Could not Create Java Virtual Console". I've seen several mentions of this on the forums, but no solutions!
Anyone else having trouble getting 1.6.2? The launcher shows that 1.6.1 is the latest version.
You have to click on Edit Profile on the launcher and then check "Enable experimental development builds" and then select the drop-down menu beside "Use Version" and then select "snapshot 1.6.2" as 1.6.2 is a pre-release. The official release of 1.6.2 will be next Monday.
I like the idea of bugfixes, but waiting for 1.6.1 was a good amount of waiting on top of it having some bugs. I would've waited longer for this update so the bugs were gone.
(In regard to a mod that gives realistic animal genetics):
Would you really rather have bees that make diamonds and oil with magical genetic blocks?

Lovely, another update. I might as well wait till next moth before I try to play this game with the number of mods I run. I'll admit, I like the idea of bug fixes, but every update takes a week out of my play at least, because all my worlds will loose a ton of stuff if I load them.

That is because 1.6.2 is a pre-release version and the actual official release will be on Monday, July 8th.
And thank you for the pre-release of 1.6.2. I love all the bugfixes.
You must not read the changelogs, because that's not a bug; they deliberately added that as a feature for a reason.
That may be just because you are lagging.
