Thank God! I have recently been trying to reposition my Nether portal as i got an absolutely horrid placement(just above bedrock in a small cave about 5 blocks below a friggin OCEAN of lava; seriously when i finally reached the surface - which took me nearly two days realt time - i put the render distance on Far and i still couldnt see the other side of it). As a result i have to travel back and forth many times between each new portal creation attempt. On average i end up falling thru the world or getting stuck in solid rock and suffocating at least 50% of the time when i travel in EITHER direction. I've had to resort to backing up my save files before every single trip and it's a total pain in the ass.
does anyone know when and if Minecraft Is Going to come out with it own mod launcher? i remember reading something about it being planned, but obviously it hasn't been introduced yet. just curious :).

Yes, it is going to be included with the API, where the current version of the API can be found here:
Jeb just added some more code to the API today (well, yesterday depending on your time zone), so some very active development is happening toward that end. I'm hoping that an upcoming snapshot will have this code incorporated directly into the snapshot itself.
The API isn't nearly developed even to start adding custom recipes yet, so it will be a long time before you see something with substance.
Does anybody know if 1.3.2 mods are compatible with 1.3.1 mods? Cause the sole purpose of releasing 1.3.2 is mainly on just bug fixes right? So does that mean all 1.3.1 mods are compatible with 1.3.2?

I've already answered this a couple times, but I can do it again:
No, 1.3.2 mods are not compatible with 1.3.1 mods. They will nearly all need to be recompiled for 1.3.2.
Yes, it was mainly bug fixes and the changes are mostly trivial, but a new class was introduced in 1.3.2 which shifted the class names around, thus changing the obfuscated class names for most java classes in Minecraft. That didn't happen between 1.2.4 and 1.2.5 (no new classes were added), which is why mods were mostly compatible.

Well that just sucks, we barely had a 3 weeks with this update, and my WIP map was made entirely in 1.3.1, and it's an adventure/puzzle/parkour map that will take weeks to finish again from scratch. I seriously hope I can somehow make my map work for 1.3.2 :/
Kudos for the fixes!

It is already done, and has been done for several hours.
Sorry to give you the news, but the class names have changed and thus require all of the mods to be recompiled for 1.3.2
Yeah, it stinks.
Version 2.1 now updated for MC 1.6.2

MCP for 1.3.2 is available here: http://www.mediafire.com/?3en0elvwmm2xee3
I'll see how much the obfuscation has changed soon, when I update my Console mod.
I miss XCommands...
Life is a Learning Curve....
Unfortunately, you're stuck on the bottom...amongst the bones of the stupid.

Trust me, destruction catalysts are the least of your worries...
Talks a lot. Says nothing. Totally pointless video.
EDIT: Darn, someone got to it before me! Ah well, gonna hold out for a bit for my mods.
