maybe, but I really like the way they add it, without hurting anyone else who's not interested. It's much different than those industrial mods, much more basic and easy to understand, not overwhelming at all.
I have a question. I looked at the forum page on weighted pressure plates and how they reacted to stacks of items. That's cool, but I was wondering if these pressure plates work with players as well. I thought it would be cool to have "concealed" pressure plates because the have the texture of gold and iron. It would be cool on adventure or puzzle maps to have a more hidden plate than stone or wood. If anyone who downloaded the snapshot could test that out, that would be great.
Very nice . Redstone block , and actual daylight sensors instead of using a bud switch to have my towns lights come on at night . More reasons to go to the nether , all around nice work .
I still hope as I have posted several times before...that since they are working with redstone and minecarts , they will put in either a new booster rail , or configure the old ones with signal strength to change the boosting or breaking power of a booster rail . So you could have much greater control over the speeds of a minecart . Making rides and coasters more enjoyable to make and ride , for people like me that have played to much RCT

I'm really looking foward to this redstone update, especially if your a redstone enthusiast like me. And I can't wait to see the finished version of the hopper block.
I really would like a block that conducts in all directions. To make a grid of floor pistons reasonable to control. It should be easy, not hard, to control a grid of pistons that all go up at the same time. Simple things should be simple, complex things fun and complex. But having simple things overly complex (the wiring required just to make 5x5 floor pistons go up at the same time) is stupid.
I made a backup of my map before installing this (of course).
When i joined my server, running this new snapshot, i began running out to a place i havent explored yet, so new chunks were loading. But then i got these big lines of generation errors. I kept running into ghost blocks, and that repeated on all the new chunks that where loaded. Then i changed back to 1.4.6, used the backup of the map, and ran over to the place so new chunks where loading again, and those errors where gone.
One thing so far , nether ore seems far to common . In my new tester world , I got more then 1 stack of it just in the area around my portal . I like the spread of it , just maybe cut down on the abundance of its seams .
found a bug with redstone blocks and redstone torch place a redstone torch on a redstoneblock then remove only the redstone block and the redstone torch stay in mid air like it was placed on a block
(correction redstone torch dont drop period when you break a block it attache to)

That's rather unfortunate.
But if you put a redstone dust next to the chest, it will connect to trapped chests, but not regular ones.

No pressure plates do not react to players standing on them.
