I don't know if this has been reported yet or not, but I found a DUPLICATING BUG.
Copying maps works fine. One map in the crafting table creates two maps. 4 maps in the crafting table still only creates 2 maps and only takes 1 map out of the 4.
HOWEVER...
ENLARGING maps is bugged. If I take 4 maps and put them in the crafting table and surround that pile of maps with blank paper, instead of enlarging ONE map, it enlarges 4 maps, but ONLY TAKES ONE. Thus I am left with 3 maps (as I should be) on the crafting table but I have 4 enlarged maps in the creation box! 3 EXTRA enlarged maps now! FREE MAPS!!
I don't think this is as intended. Here's the screenshots:
Enlarging a stack of 4 Map #0:
It only takes 1 from the stack in the center but gives 4 new maps:
Update: I stand corrected. Not only are villages oddly rare, but they also seem to be generated randomly. Several times I have observed villages that spawn in a given seed, only to find them non-existent on my next try.
Anyone else having the same problem? It might be that villages aren't tied to seeds anymore. There could be a few reasons for this:
An accident.
VIllages were a popular when abusing mapping programs like AMIDST; perhaps this was done to make servers feel more comfortable about sharing seeds.
Villages were pretty common in flatmaps before; it's understandable why they would be scaled back like the slimes.
Villages could be implemented into the presets, meaning they will be controlled by the presets and not the seed.
Further, I'm curious to find out if villages are static in normal maps. Presets are only possible in superflat after all.
I tested my current seeds by making a new game with them and the villages are all where they should be, as long as it's not superflat. Must just be a superflat problem.
More problems: For a while now I've been seeing items getting stuck in blocks, where I cannot pick them up unless I destroy whatever is around them. I'm not sure if it's still going on, but mobs and villagers are REALLY getting stuck OFTEN and it's actually dangerous. This evening I right clicked to trade with a villager and he and the villager standing next to him suddenly dropped into the blocks below them and for some reason it showed up as me HITTING the villager, causing faction loss (it looked like, because I saw some weird yellow/red symbols over its head) and this happened twice tonight!!

I've noticed this with my dog AND while riding a pig this happened. The pig auto-fixed itself yet acted like I hit it. My dog had to be dug out before I could get him to follow me. I wonder if this bug is only for friendly mobs, cause i haven't seen any monsters do this yet.
I don't know if this has been reported yet but for some reason when I create a second map and activate it, the first map I create goes blank. It would appear I can only have one map at a time which I don't think is right. Just throwing this out there.
I've never had to do that. Just save it as a zip then rename it changing the zip too jar.
That does the same thing.
The important part is you can't save it as a zip file and then expect it to work that way. And by all means don't open it and try to move stuff to the jar file.
Minecraft news snapshot became available. It fixes some good things and much needed things to the game. Pumpkin pie!!! Finally a reason for pumpkin farms besides massive golem armies! They also added XP for finishing which is a great past-time. its really great.

This always happens with snapshots. I don't know why.
__________
I have done some searching to find some bugs. Here is a list that I've found.
- The clouds are too high/higher in the superflat map.
- Mushrooms sometimes spawn in light levels higher than 12.
- The avatar's legs are just a little bit too small (you can hardly notice in the screenshot).
- There are two golden apples in the inventory. One is enchanted, the other isn't.
__________
I have also come up with some suggestions. Here's a list.
My friends and I thought it was a joke. Then Dinnerbone had to hint a new mob. If it isn't, then we were double-trolled.
You need to choose "Save As..." and then choose the file type "All" in the dropdown box and save it as "Minecraft.jar" for it to work.

Wither is a boss like mob and the nether star is used to create a buffing station (for lack of a better word)
