I'm a bit disappointed that there's nothing other than a third-party mod to mildly improve the bad framerates many folks were experiencing because their computers were too old, but had decent performance in 1.2.5. The new content is kinda moot for me.
ehh I'm not excited about potted plants since it doesn't really add anything, but decoration. I love that you can post a revealed map on the wall, something long overdue really. Oh well better luck next week I guess. Maybe we'll see the red dragons made like notch hinted to making after the ender-dragon. What I'm keeping my fingers crossed for is new building structures, ender castle anyone?
We are having troubles with authentication, server to client parity and packet exchange, chunks not saving so tons of work are lost, a huge decrease in ping due to redundencies or poor optimization (for example, why the heck was another texture folder added when all you needed was a writable data file in the original folder which basically would need to say "when at this IP, load this texture pack." Why the heck would we need instances of a particular pack in BOTH places?) This is to say nothing of the Ender Chest joke, or the fact that the client-side server has proven to be a horrible idea.
That's it? Those three little fixes are what are considered the most important? I'm sorry, did Microsoft buy out Mojang when I wasn't looking? NONE OF OUR PLAYERS HAS REPORTED ANYTHING LIKE THOSE ISSUES.

We are losing players, and the equation is simple:
No players = No donations = No server = Extremely unhappy and vocal customers.
None of this was an issue under 1.25; we even switched to a high powered fast server to make sure the 1.3.1 release wouldn't be an issue. Please get the issues with Bukkit, etc., fixed with a real patch, not this joke intended, as near as I can tell, to quiet down the community for a while.
I agree completely. I wanted to wait to update my mod in 1.3.2 because 1.3.1 was basically unplayable. This update barely fixed anything!
While this update might be valuable to you, keep in mind that there are others who see that this 'update' is too lacking to be called as such. I for one have never experienced this falling out of the Nether out of the 2 dozen or more times that I've been there. I would know, since set up a zombie pigman farm to collect gold. I might have been just lucky, however.
It is called 1.3.1, not 1.4. These changes are not inconsistent with the earlier minor patches (1.2.5 vs 1.2.4, 1.5_01, etc.).
I know what it means to be alone,
I sure do wish I was at home.
I don't care what the neighbors say,
I'm gonna love you each and every day.
You can feel the beat within my heart.
Realize, sweet babe, we ain't ever gonna part.
It just seems to me that they add new content that seems best left to mods... I always viewed Minecraft as a fairly clean sandbox game. Something like enchanting and experience never crossed my mind as a necessity to be in a normal client (End zone and End dragon included!) However, I appreciate the wall mounts. Not so much the pots or fences, seeing as those are really more mod things too.... in my opinion
And maybe they reduce the range at which monsters see you
well i know i want something op it would be somewhat fun but servers can easily disable it (i think :P)+maybe it would be very expencive to make like diamond block or something
Or maybe it will still make the partical effect and it just makes it so mobs cant see you so you can finaly hug a creeper

You do understand that the snapshots are getting us to 1.4, while this update - which does not include what was in the last snapshot - is 1.3.2?
Derper, derp thyself.
Did you know I write Science Fiction? Well I do. Check it out at http://planetretcon.com/books/
I want wall clocks already.
Invis-potions should remove the swirls, or the potion won't even do its job right.
+1
No, those are wall mounts for items
OH I didn't get that update yet so I didn't know!
I've never had any of these issues.
Exluding me, I love the new additions. They usually knock out a few or more bugs when they release it so just sit back and enjoy the new content.
