About that f-bomb, that everybody are talking about:
They would never did that in kids face! And that twit did not actually implied that.
Mojang "spies" probably eavesdropped Yogscast private conversation. And of course, knowing Simon & Lewis they were not completely serious about that. They were pissed at Notch, but they would never act bad to the fans.
The only thing is that the language was not acceptable for the audience, nor is notches masturbation jokes on his blog.
Children read/watch both of those. Neither are appropriate. They are very unprofessional regardless of who said them.
What I'm trying to get at is that the things Notch said were on an interview meant to be put up on Youtube. Youtube is entirely different from publicly speaking on stage to adults and children while cussing around.
I hope that helps. d:
Had to make an account to deal with all this stupid fanboyism towards Notch
So on Notch's side we have his word saying the Yogcast were a-holes for wanting to get paid, considering Notch made $500k from tickets alone, then there's merchandising, IGN exclusive deal for live-streaming and various other things, then no it's not right for them to having to pay Notch. A volunteer run event which makes a ton of money and only Notch get's it? Thats not fair at all, Yogcast and anyone else who helped should of been paid.
Then there's Notch complaining about them "f-bombing a kid" and being "divas" considering he made masturbation jokes on Tumblr and joked about f'ing Simon's mother in their 'interview' he is obviously a hypocrite. His unprofessional outbursts on twitter make Notch look like a child. He obviously wanted to try and get public support on his side like he did with the Scrolls lawsuit, before it was revealed Bethesda HAD to sue to protect their rights and he clearly waited until they were on the plane before tweeting all this crap about them.
On the Yogcast's side we have previous times when they have been lovely to fans at Gamesconn and whenever, videos and photos of them being nice at Minecon and no real evidence of them doing anything wrong at all.
Whereas, Notch has already got a reputation for being a greedy asshole, even if people didn't realise until now. And there are no excuses to be made for his behaviour, "Notch is just tired" "Notch is trolling us xD" etc. Once people saw through his bs, he tried to drop it by posting about how he shouldn't of made it public.
Before he was going to charge for mods!
Then there was the argument on Twitter with some modder and Notch resulted to throwing personal insults at the guy
He's obviously let all this fame and money go to his head and i hope he either changes or never works in the industry again.
I don't even like the Yogcast that much but i fail to see what they have done wrong in this situation, as many posts have revealed Minecon was a disaster, though i'm sure Notch is only concerned about the size of his wallet.
Considering he's made millions, he had fans donate to the 2playerproductions so they could make a documentary about Mojang when Notch and Mojang are signing various merchandising that people will get for donating so it's not like he isn't involved yet wouldn't pay for it himself.
EDIT: Also it would appear the claim that Lewis said the Yogcast made Minecraft famous is a mis-quote as he said Youtube creators made Minecraft famous
I'm sorry but as soon as I read the first sentence of your post I cringed. There is no "fanboyism" and there should not (yet) be sides going for Notch or Yogscast. You're making the situation worse by acting like everyone should join your 'side' and it only messes things up.
This is all just sad. Most of you people act like young siblings talking about a fight between your mommy and daddy. Get some things straight. Notch is an independent developer, and you are his players. Notch built a team and built a world with it. You play in it. Notch and his team expanded on to pocket edition and 360 edition, you will probably buy it still.
What is it when you ***** about Notch fighting, or going as far as to say he is greedy and needs to step away from his two year+ project? Its the same thing as a **** ass kid saying, "Dad! Give me the car! I DESERVE YOUR CAR! I am a needy child who thinks the time has come for you to give me what is yours!"
Don't forget your place in this world, unless you desire to be that child.
Sorry, are you talking about yourself? What are your statements based on? If notch was being serious about this, there would be more clariification from him or mojang. Surprisingly, they are not elaborating any further which leads me to think that it might be a joke, given that yogscast is taking quite awhile to respond and notch/mojang keeping quiet about it.
Clearly you have an inflexible mind, capable of looking at things from one point of view and immediately deciding that the choice you picked is the absolute truth(which would mean notch)
Have a great day, hardcore notch fanboy.
Just personal attacks? Can you read?
Also, I was against Notch when it came to Bethesda.
Hannah made a recent post on Twitter saying she may make a video response later today. I'm hoping she'll stick to it.
They probably don't want to bring the **** up. Probably waiting, seeing if Mojang would want to settle things peacefully. People are beginning to realize what happened at Minecom. And if we'd hear what really happened first hand, it could really hurt Mojand and Minecraft community.

I have the feeling that what Yogscast did in the livestream, was not really professional, nor nice for the developers and the audience to hear.
They were pressured and pushed about. Honestly, I didn't really like their panel too. The whole Minecon was an embarrassment.
@Wristrule if your dad is running people over with that car and tries to **** fro a window when going 70 mp/h, maybe someone should take the car until he gets... you know... helped.

And how is that similar? No one here, who is credible enough anyway, is saying that he should step away. Greedy? Yes. Its like being the son of Ebeneezer Scrooge and saying that hes too stingy. If you have to pay 100 bucks to get into the convention, and no one gets paid for showing up, but rather has to pay for the right to speak in Notch's honor (and you note that when they didnt, they didnt receive great applause from Notch) That is being greedy, and can be considered nothing less.
Im not demanding anything of Notch, and Im not demanding that he step away. I just think that minecraft has gone to his head and that he has no need to act the wat he has been. Its absolutely childish, and it is completely hypocritical when he himself claims how Minecraft is about friendship and togetherness. Twittering about how horrible Yogscast is to millions of fans is not being together or being friendly. It is intentionally splitting the community, and pitting one side against the other.
I have now shift my side to Mojang and the Minecraftforum Community of how True Minecraft community should be, I love thi forums and this comunity on voiceing your opinion on this.. The Yogscast forums keep their views on the Yogscast side and no let others speak on differnt sides... In the Yogscast forums you can't be like simon and be balls to it you will get bann :sad.gif:...
Happy Balls to it YOGSDiva style,

If you put "Happy Balls to it YOGSDiva Style," you get ban in Yogscast forum and get a Lovely video that's worth dancing too ^.^

Too keep my rep the same for my future buisness I'll end the Happy balls to it YOGSDiva style here...
There has been tons of fanboyism, don't be blind. The forums here were filled with it and taking Notch's word for gospel. And Notch has been action very unprofessional, especially with the personal attacks. He's only made it worse for himself. Even before the Yogcast respond people have the right to call out Notch on his behaviour.
Oh, great. There is some extent of fanboyism, but once again, calling a bunch of people fanboys doesn't bypass people being skeptical about what you said. Basically, you are pretending to be an expert while insulting Notch, when real experts understand that someone isn't a fanboy just because he agrees with someone who happens to be famous.

I guess you can say that. I mean sure there are a lot people that are all for Notch, but it's the same with Yogscast too. There are PLENTY of people jumping around for them, while I'm sitting here trying to gain facts on what Notch has done wrong and what Yogscast has done wrong. I myself am a Yogscast fan (Definitely not one to drool all over them, though) and I love Notch for making Minecraft, but I don't want to side with anyone, I want to evaluate what's wrong and what's right, then make my decision from there.
That's just me, though.
1) 0:43 explains how they 'always' swears in their videos (you can ignore the rest of it)
2/the rest of them) How other people recorded them signing stuff/ meeting in MineCon.
Hope it helps :smile.gif:
