the problem is....is that...they where jokeing with the kid...
Notch....doesnt understand jokes....
I don't think it was just this 'joke' that pissed Notch off, which people keep assuming it is. I'll see it as a joke when the Yogscast says it is a joke.
Ah, let them quarrel and groan at each other. (: It amuses me so! Haha.
I like playing devils advocate. I dont actually care about the outcome of this, provided Notch doesnt ban Yogscast and take away one of my primary modes of entertainment. I just love poking and prodding in the spots that hurt. Call me a troll if you will. I prefer instigator.

i think this is all stupid...
Yogscast hasnt said anything about this
but notch is blasting them on twitter like a 16 year old girl whos bestfriend ****ed her brother...
for ****s sake notch....
and there right....they are about 75% of the resion that mine craft is as big as it is...
With out them...
Minecraft would be ALOT smaller....
Ether way...right or wrong
Im with the yogscast on this one just becuase
1. theyve been quite
2. Why the **** was some Twit of a kid there? how the **** did he get the cash to come eh? hes the spolid brat
3. I AM DAVE YOGNAUGHT AND I HAVE THE BALLSSS!!!
But you don't understand. They are biting the hand that feeds them. Yogscast would just be nothing without Minecraft. Sure, Yogscast promoted them, but it was the fact that Notch made such a spectacular game that caused the idea of the Yogscast to be as big as it is today. And honestly... 75%.

I suddenly love you now. Is that wrong?
I suppose not, I like the idea of watching and laughing at people that don't understand how to share their opinions.
I've never been a fan of the yogscast, in fact, I only heard of them about a month ago. I've been playing minecraft since before it had it's own downloadable version and existed only on an internet page.
How can they claim that they're the reason minecraft is as big as it is?
The only ones who can claim that, are those who made it.
I'm not going to take sides on this, I don't know about the dispute, frankly I don't care about the dispute. I like the game, I'm going to carry on playing the game and I'm going to ignore this entire thing because to me it seems petty and very embarrassing for both sides.
Good day.
(And honestly, who mentioned that british people communicate by swearing? Even if you're british, that's a pretty racist remark, I haven't heard anyone swear where I live for a good while. It's not common at all, we use words like sugar and fudge instead, I think you either need your ears checked, or you need to move house.)
It's honestly true that Notch doesn't know how to run a company. There are what, 12 people on the team currently, and only 1 is currently working on Minecraft development, as far as we know.
I suddenly love you now. Is that wrong?
I suppose not, I like the idea of watching and laughing at people that don't understand how to share their opinions.
Its partially because it makes people think, but also, and more importantly, because these people dont want to think, and its fun watching them flounder. Agreed?
And no, I dont suppose its wrong to love me, though its not what Im used to hearing after saying something like that. :tongue.gif:
They did, for a fact? You were sitting next to them when it happened? No. Notch tweeted that they said they were going to, not that they did it. As far as the Yogscast demanding to be payed? I can understand them asking since they did, in fact, bring some awareness to Minecraft. They never said they made Minecraft what it is. There is an interview someone did with them and Simon said he believes Mojang and the Yogscast have contributed to each others success. Not, "Yea we made Minecraft super popular and deserve a huge payout for coming to Minecon." It's understandable that they asked about it. Why not? There's nothing wrong with asking.
Go back and reread a bit. :smile.gif:
Please reread my stuff (or not, I dont really care as long as you read this)
Im saying "what has happened", not what has happened. Im just quoting Notch, not saying he speaks the truth. I actually say people shouldnt choose sides before anything comes clear. I wanna hear yogscasts reaction first.
And thereby, there is really nó evidence, if there even was óne video in which they behaved that way (lots of people filmed them on minecon, none of the videos showed their supposed evil inner-side).
People just take these kind of occasions to
1. Blame the opposite party and getting really upset by just one man's word, trying to be rebellious
2. Use this moment to lick-ass Notch or yogscast, as in "I have always knowed you spoke the truth and the other one didn't!"
I've never heard of Yogscast until just now. I don't know how they are related to minecraft nor do I care.
Notch doesn't go about these things the same way all the big companies do, I like him and respect him for that.
I'd rather hear his opinion of what happened, even if it's when he is raging/angry, than the lawyers drawn up statement.
Notch seems to keep it real, I like that.
I don't know what happened but if what Notch is saying is even partially true well I hope they get whats coming.
Seems like they see Notch's popularity growing and want to jump on and get a ride to the top too.
I watched a few vids just now, they interviewed an elvis dude and batman. That bearded dude is socially awkward and I don't understand why people like him conducting interviews.
@Equeon. You do realise that other than Markus, Jens is the only other main minecraft programmer, other members of the group are busy elsewhere, for example, Daniel is working on scrolls, Tobias keeps the website running, then there's quite a few who do art work, someone to balance numbers etc.

I think you don't know how to run a company.
So being so stingy as to not pay celebrities, albeit internet ones, to show up at your convention? Somehow that seems to be a pretty bad policy for a company. IT makes people unhappy, and unhappy people wont give you good reviews, and if internet celebrities give you bad reviews, your sales go down.
Its partially because it makes people think, but also, and more importantly, because these people dont want to think, and its fun watching them flounder. Agreed?

d: It's fun to say when I suddenly like random people.
Absolutely agreed my good friend. I don't talk to resisting people, as it is useless to even make them look at the facts. They make up things and make them look like facts so that the side they're going for makes it look better for them, then it spreads around to this time right now where people are calling each side names and what not.
In other words, useless nonsense. Thank god for that, otherwise I would no longer be entertained!
Check it out. Yogscast signing at MineCon. And wow how horrible they were. I mean did you see that kid's face after he got their signatures. WOW. And the way they treated him..
@Bubba Why should one group get paid to go? Those people have been successful, unless they don't have any kind of budgeting scheme, I'm pretty sure they'd of had the money to go.
It's not at all stingy to pay celebrities money to attend something big, in fact I'd see it as the opposite, I see it as unfair, everyone who plays minecraft has probably told some friends about it, therefore I think I can safely say that everyone who has played minecraft has contributed to it's popularity, if that one group get's paid, everyone involved will want to get paid.
It's just not practical, I think Mojang were doing a good thing by rejecting that request, and I say request, not demand, because I highly disbelieve that anyone should demand such a thing.
wanna see insults at a signing go look up Cinemassacre's angry video game nerd signing at comic con.
he was signing "**** off", "**** you and this game", "piece of ****" to kids ranging from 10 and up.
but that's his character, the "angry video game nerd" all his videos are extreme rage, cussing, destroying game cartridges, etc.
Same with Doug from thatguywiththeglasses.com his signing at comiccon was signing ****off, and many of his catch phrases which are obscenity laced to kids, teens, adults.
cause that is what they are known for.
my son which is 9 got a sweet "**** you and this game" on a gold legend of zelda cartridge from James at Cinemassacre.

That makes sense actually.
But it's still kind of silly, is there nothing better to do than troll us, them, a random goat?
It's not even really our business to be taking sides or making personal attacks.
