Every one of us has built things in Minecraft, ranging from simple to mind-blowing - it is an environment supremely designed for creative building. So, it shouldn't come as a surprise to see the sandbox building game being used for architectural design planning, for real-world buildings in Sweden. That's right - Minecraft is being used as a medium for suburban renovation projects! While the game lacks certain levels of precision for minute details in planning, it is incredibly useful for various aspects of urban and suburban planning, such as dimensional constraints, building layouts and more medium- to large-scale design plans.
Will we see Minecraft be used this way in other parts of the world in the near future? Time will tell.

Too tell you the truth I was thinking about a use such as construction. And real life such... I got no credit wanting to post something for example this today. OH WELL!
Hopefully this shows anyone who think games are just time-wasting. I was playing Minecraft during architecture lessions and if the teacher would ask, I had perfectly legitimate reasons to play it as I was building houses in minecraft. Wish it was part of the education like in some schools.
For those who a) can't read swedish, don't have google chrome, c) want to read the page in english, here is a translated version of the link: http://translate.goo...449.svd&act=url (warning: some grammatical Errors)
What I want to know is, will I have to pay for another account for the XBLA version of Minecraft or will it be free??? Or even maybe a system that syncs the two accounts together??? i.e. if I have a computer account, will it still be good if my XBL account is synced to the same internet source?
Well I think now it is over they can start 1.3 snapshots hope to see update/bug fixes, I would like to see giants put to use. fix redstone bugs and I will be a happy pokeman master I use creepchu and blow up notch with self destruction move, ... notch fainted YOU WON!!

It's amazing the impact Minecraft is having on society. Sorry JefferySparon, your attempts to troll the world failed, and all those who hate the game for it's graphics.
Notch why are you such a boss? Congrats Minecraft team for getting the reward.. Been playing for about a year.. Still love logging on and playing for hours a day. So thank you for creating a legit game (:
First, Minecraft is being used for classes in schools, and now, Minecraft is being used to plan buildings for construction work. Minecraft is taking over real life! D:
